  1. Congrats!!! All your hard work has totally paid off!! Thanks for sharing!!
  2. I too had major headaches almost everyday and since surgery maybe 1 or 2 that a couple Advil cured. I will say that I am much more aware of my water intake, food and sugar intake and also caffeine is also in check. Not sure if I could have gotten here without the Sleeve, but so glad I don't have to deal with headaches anymore.
  3. Congrats, you look fantastic!! I agree with you, I don't know where another 15lbs would come from? Thanks for sharing!!

  9. Welcome to the losers bench Griselda! Your account is almost identical to my experience sans the little kitty. ;o) Glad to hear you are recovering quickly! Cheers~ Heidi
  10. Congrats!! Thanks for sharing!
  11. Good for you! Soda and coffee was a hard one for me, it was such a 'go to' for so long! It's been 2 months since either, and after about the first week, I haven't missed it! Keep it up the great work!!
  12. Thanks for the play by play Tiffykins! I tried these a few weeks ago (with cheddar-doh!) and was so dissapointed when they turned out like little limp grease pattys. Hard cheese, here I come!!
  13. How long can I be on Prilosec? I just finished a 14 day pack, can I keep taking this without any problems? Sorry to hijack your post, was just thinking the same thing.
  14. Another Trader Joe's fan here!! I just picked these up yesterday (my first cracker purchase) I was totally debating between these and the Pita chips. Everything Bagel Chips-YUM!! half serving is 6 chips: (I did 4 and was content) Calories: 65 Fat: 2 Net Carbs: 9 Protein:2 Fiber: 1
  15. Gorgeous, you must feel so great and proud!!!! Thanks for sharing!!
  16. Mmmm Sushi! I have been eating sashimi for a few weeks now. (couple times/per week, I've been addicted for years now!) It's one of the only things that doesn't make me feel crummy after I eat it, and was going thru withdrawal in the 6 weeks I couldn't eat it. If I order nigiri, I don't eat the rice and have poked the insides of a roll out and skip the rice on that too. We had our sushi chef make a few yummy rolls and wrap them in cucumber instead of rice, sooooo good! I only ate 1-2 pieces of that since I didn't want to overdue it on the raw veggies. I'm one of the odd balls who doesn't like pizza, so I guess that's my saving grace, cause I'm sure I would be craving that too!
  17. Welcome! You and your wife are going to do great!!! I think it's normal to be a little anxious, however if you've researched your surgeon, you have to TRUST that you are in good hands! It will be so helpful that you have a co-pilot to go thru this with. Stay strong and keep us updated!!
  18. Amazing!!!! You look fabulous!! You'll be at goal in no time, keep it up!
  19. AWESOME!!! Keep it up!!
  20. Thanks everyone! I'm so thrilled to be ditching all 'those' old numbers! Hey Wishes: I'm 5'6"
  21. congrats, that's awesome! keep it up!!
  22. Last week was week 4 for me...other than the l-b's dropping, I was sure to TAKE MEASUREMENTS! So, here's my stats: I'm 5'6", 33, Female, starting weight and measurements taken at 2-week pre-op date. I took a TON of measurements...everything that I wanted to see a change in, but here are the highlights: 3.11.11 5.1.11 weight 255 221 neck 15 14 bust 50 46 underbust 44.5 39 waist 45 40 belly button 50 45 panni (ugh) 53.5 48 hips 51 47 thigh 30 28 calf 16.5 15.5 upper arm 17 15 above elbow 13.5 11.5 Total inches LOST FOREVER: 37"!!! This was some of the BEST advice I've received, it's so nice to not only see the numbers on the scale...but these numbers just make it all worth it!!
  23. There is a buddy/mentor group on this forum...scroll down to the bottom and post there. I'm sure someone who is farther along than you would be happy to help you out. I don't think I would be so great as I'm only 4 weeks out and probably going thru the same as you. Wanted to chime in here to pass on the resource. Good LUck!
  24. Who's your Dr? I've never heard that before. I was given a box of Dolikan when I was released from the hospital and only took it for a day. There was a few times that first week that I took Advil too. There are pharmacias on every corner if you need something, but I'm positive your surgeon will hook you up with everything you need. I was given an antibiotic and a few other things besides the pain pills that I took until they were gone.
