  1. aw thank you all for the support. I have a friend who had the gastric bypass done and in a year she lost 150lbs, but that was because she was 300+lbs. I feel bad, but I want to tell her "well that was because you were way bigger than me, so shut up!" but I am polite and say "I had the sleeve and that works different, plus my bmi was less than yours" lol.
  2. I feel like a horrible liar keeping it away from facebook!! lol, only because I have people who I am not that close to and I don't want to hear negativity... I know I shouldn't care what people think, but I just want to keep my business my business. My husband, immediate family know.. some aunts/uncles, cousins bestfriends know but not beyond that.
  3. My aunt had gastric bypass surgery a year ago. She was a size 26 and now a 14. I had the sleeve done approx 1yr 2months ago. I was size 22 and now size 12-13... urgh.. I feel like a failure... as if I am in competition with my aunt now, I laugh about it but I truely feel like a failure! oh this fat!!!! be gone!!!
  4. Hi everyone!!! Sorry I have been missing in action! I got injured at work (bad) but now I am feeling a little better I am so happy though, today for the first time I wore a dress problem free!! I mean I jiggle but not as much as before.. The wraps I talked about before, they do work!! woohoo, my arm was 15inches before and 13 after, that was approx 2 weeks ago, they are still 13inches I am going to do my thighs next!!!! but I do ask you all to keep me in your prayers if you are praying ladies... I am devestated to my injury but I know God is great and he will see me through this rough time and hopefully no long term affects <3 amen.
  5. thank you... you gave me hope... I am very traumatized from being huge before.... but you are so right!
  6. yea I freaked out today... before last week, I was only able to eat 1 hard boiled egg... for lunch I had a hard boiled egg and half a grilled cheese I don't want to starve myself.. but I don't want to just allow me one egg just because I am afraid...
  7. I am a year out of being sleeved... I finally was able to fit a whole sandwich (cutting edges off/reg bread slices -not the big ones with oats and stuff)... how did I go from only being able to chow down 1/2 a sandwich to a whole one over night? It worries me that I stretched my tummy out? oh no!!! how do I shrink it back! I wouldn't mind eating this little forever!! I am freaking out... is this normal to finally be able to eat "normal"?
  8. Hi there!!!! what hosp did you get sleeved Jill? 9. Dr Nagle.. he is awesome!!!! he is the director of the bariatric program. Dr H is awesome as well, they are both great!!!!! My mom is getting done by Dr Nagle as well. soo exciting... I can't wait to get down to my goal weight... I think back to when I was sleeved last year and the journey... it makes me smile... I have a new life. a whole new, happier and healthier me!
  10. thank you all I just am scared for my mommy but your encouraging words made me feel a little better.. this will save her!!!
  11. My mom is going to be sleeved hopefully this year. Tomorrow she has her psych appt. I don't know how my mom was able to support my decision to go under the knife. I am afraid for my mom, how about if there are complications and she dies? I don't want anything bad to happen to my mom What will I do without her... just very worried. She is a good candidate for this surgery. She is 54yrs young, asthma, depression, borderline diabeties, arthritis, nothing major. sigh... I just am a worry wart. She is approx 4ft 10 and weighs 220lbs, so she does need this surgery. It's hard for me not to worry.
  12. I stopped going to their support groups because I was the only new one that would go and everyone else was veterans, lol. I felt left out when they would tell stories, haven't been to a support group in 6months! So who knows maybe there are more newbies there? They seem pretty cool and family knit type of closeness. I had dr Kissinger as my psych dr. my mom has her appt with dr P.
  13. woohoo!!! they are awesome!!!! let me know when your surgery date it!!!! also my mom is getting it as well, she is having her physch consult tomorrow there. if you have any ques ask me

  17. I have a huge anxiety problem and depression. I take zoloft and xanax, I just started zoloft not too long ago and since it has helped me loose a few lbs, when I took welbutrin it made me gain... I guess everybody reacts differently to meds? I hope you find the one that can help you out without gaining
  18. you ladies are funny... and yes I didn't realize it was the sugars!!!! I went 1 day without any sugar and not much of a gassy problem, then the next day I had 5 m&m candies and piece of brownie (birthday party at work) and oh my!!!!
  19. Do you any of you have gas problems? I can not burp at all!! Everything comes out the other end.. I am worse than a man!!!! Any suggestions?
  20. you are welcome... now I want more watermelon!! lol
  21. I have been sleeved for a year now... I eat alot of watermelon when I can!!!! nothing wrong with that
  22. I am getting a body wrap, lol. hey gotta try anything. I will let you know how that goes!
  23. oh, don't feel that way.. I think the first 3 days are the worse, after that it is a breeze... seriously after I went home I didn't need the pain meds. I had alot of gas pains but my dr recommend me to drink prune juice and that helped me poop and gas out, lol. Ask your dr before doing so, everyone is different. Also what did hurt was my back.. the inflation they do.. like a cartoon human balloon, lol. This surgery was the best thing I could have ever done! I am happy to have done it!!!!!!! we are here to help you get through these days.. any questions, we are here, this is your support group <3
  24. I am with everybody here, you are still healing, so there will be little discomfort and pain. I however am different, I was happy with my surgery and I just had my 1yr anniversary and hit major depression.. you just can't imagine how sad I am. I call off of work alot lately, i just don't want to go out and deal with life..... but tomorrow i have an appt with my dr to help me with this depression. I hate to feel so sad, if you are that sad like I am.. please see someone, because it does hurt
