  1. just got sleeved and oh how I wish I knew someone who got sleeved!!!! It's tough doing this alone, don't get me wrong my family supports me, but I need a buddy
  2. I just started on mushies and did the guacamole thing, it went down fine, I was only able to have like 2 tspsoonfuls with 1/2 a cracker. it was yummy
  3. I purchased a few jars of baby food (chicken and turkey) super gross!!! So now I just over cook my soups and it becomes all mushie for me.
  4. I was like you, for about a week that is all I was able to sleep 3hrs a night!!!! Few naps during the days but the naps would be approx an hr long or less. Now I sleep from 10pm-10:30am (taking advantage of my medical leave! lol)
  5. hi, Sorry to hear about your nausea, I was sleeved on 3/1 but didn't get that. I did do the spit thing, I was spitting every minute for the first week, I don't know why, I just needed to spit!!!! Then it stopped, all I did for the 1st week was broths and popsicles, I went through 3 boxes of popsicles the 1st week, but doctor said it's fine and that was prob helping me keep hydrated, I couldn't tolerate water, it just caused me to gag. I use to drink alot of water before my surgery, now I can't
  6. lol, I am one of those, I lost 20lbs in less than 2 weeks, I haven't lost anything in days.. I was so bummed and lost hope! Now I feel silly. thanx for the encouragement
  7. Hi, the gas ugly feeling stayed with me for about a week! The worst gas pain days were the 3rd day for some reason, I had to call my doctor and he told me to try prune juice. don't do it without your doctor's permission, everyone is different. It did help alot!!! The day after wasn't as gassy painful. Those hunger pains... i get them, but I don't think they are really hunger pains, supposedly we have the hunger hormone taken out. Maybe it's gas or acid reflux? oh and with time you will be able to meet your water and protein, it took me a week and a half. Sounds like you are doing good
  8. glad your gas is less, that was the most painful thing I endured.. dumb gas! It went away in the first week. I had my surgery 2wks ago and still could only eat soup, with a little bit of mushy foods. I get stuffed if I just eat the mushy alone in 1 bite, and when I say bite, I mean smaller than your pinky finger nail. It's not much, so I just make sure I keep doing my Protein shakes. Hopefully by next week I can eat a little more.
  9. I didn't have complications, I stayed 3 but that was doctor's protocol. He said because if there is any leakage or anything like that it would happen with in the first 3days and they rather have me be in the hosp where they can get me in O.R stat. He is great. Dr Nagles in Northwestern Memorial Hosp in Chicago, IL
  10. I am still on medical leave, 6weeks medical leave. I will return the week of April 11th, with my FMLA I was given the option to go back as part time if I don't feel 100% better. I don't eat much, I can't I am suppose to be off of liquids but I can't eat much, not even mushy foods. Then again everyone is different, I read that someone was already eating an entire egg!
  11. TEAM JASPER!!! lol <3 Team Edward ... I am stuck on both.. but i am more of a Jasper lady
  12. thanks!!! I use to crave chocolate as if there was never going to be chocolate ever again! Now I can't even stand the smell of it! I have been eating mostly Soups and over cook my noodles and veggies so it can be smooshie. I am going to try that greek yogurt, I am getting sick of those Protein Drinks.. bleh!
  13. wow, I can't eat anything yet, I am 14days post op today, I can barely eat 2 small tspoonfulls. I wish I can eat an egg, lol. I mean I don't crave anything, just worried about the amount I am eating. My hubby says not to push it, with time I will get there. I still don't have much energy, and I drink alot of water and my vitamins/protein shakes.
