  2. oh.. and here i was focusing on the protein only! thanx for the tip! an yea i am anemic as well!
  3. I do my proteins, and my Biotin.. but still my hair falls out, and falling out more recently!! I have been sleeved for a little over a year! What do you guys recommend to take to help my hair loss problem
  4. I totally get you!!! I look at what i call "my previous life" type of servings and think.. wow! how was I able to eat all that!!! Kind of how I use to hate when the skinny girls would look at me like "how can you eat all that!"....
  5. When did you get sleeved? Wow! I loved the 1st dinner date I had with my hubby! it even felt romantic, I felt classy like the restaurant! lol. I was happy to fit in a booth comfortably. It was a seafood restaurant. I ordered a baked fish thing with rice and salad. I figured I will order a full dinner plate but save the left overs for the next day to come. I only had like 3 bites lol... but it was the best meal ever!!!!!
  6. thanx! I can't wait for beach weather.. I am going to buy my 1st bathing suit as an adult!! of course it will be a 1 piece, can't wait!
  7. Lastnight after I got out of the shower, I realized the towel wrapped around me perfectly. Before it use to leave a big triangle shaped exposing my behind, lol. I ran out of the bathroom dancing in my towel. My husband giggled at me and whistled, lol. It was an awesome feeling.. just had to share another joy!
  8. I got sleeved at Northwestern memorial Hosp last year in Downtown Chicago. I didn't know LCOM did bariatric surgery!
  9. This group is very quiet I just found this group and from Chicago. Do you all ever feel down and out I use to go to my support group where I got my surgery but they all had surgery long ago and seem to stick with one another.. leaving the new girl out, lol Anyone had their surgery at NMH?

  16. exactly!! I feel like they are saying "you know you are fat and quit trying to eat like a skinny!"
  17. yes, my hospital does have a support group and an online support group but... I hope I don't offend anyone. They are all way older than I am. I am 32,they are all in their 50's lol. And they are all like years into their post op. I guess the young ones are too cool to go lol
  18. Sometimes I feel alone in this. Other people dont get the ups and downs. The are quick to critic what little amount I eat and it makes me feel horrible. Anyone out there in Chicago? Just to hear a real life buddy to hang out with, lol. Sorry to sound pathetic, lol
  19. you are so right!! I have come this far so let's continue on this path!!! my self image is terrible. I don't want to regain that crazy ugly weight! thank you
  20. I have severe bat flappy wings, lol and need advice on how to get rid of them! My friend does body wraps. Have any of you tried that? Supposedly it tightens your skin.
  21. I will be honest with my experience. I am 1 year 2 days post op. I have lost 69lbs, use to be 237lbs now at 168lbs. My self esteem is terrible! worse than before. I know I lost weight, but I don't see it. I still see the girl who was a 2X and not the girl who is now a 12-13. I don't feel thinner. I do feel lighter but I still see myself as a very big girl. don't get why I feel this way... I feel very disappointed, I see so many girls/ladies who have had the surgery and they look so beautiful, but I don't see me like them. sighh
  22. honestly since April 2011- as of literally today I have been to many family or good friends funerals. Today I went to another one.. death in the family, so far 4th one since November... so hard to focus on me sorry for the depressing tone.. but I feel blah!
  23. aww yay!! congratsz!!! I feel a connection to you know, lol. I am happy for you. And you are right! I am so glad I came back to this forum. You are all an inspiration!
  24. thank you all!!!!!! you all have motivated me again I use to be a size 22 and now a 13 so I need to chill lol. I need to plan my meals again and have a work out schedule and not let this depression get to me. I guess I compare myself to all 4 people that I personally know in my family and a friend who had the gastric bypass but they all weighed approx 300-400lbs and in a year they lost over 100lbs. I am different because they were bigger than I and I had the sleeve. I do not regret the sleeve at all. I am happy with it! so today I will start up again.. I am rereborn!!!
  25. I will. I use to post at the begining alot but my computer broke and I just got me a new laptop this week! so yes I will keep in touch with everyone and this place always motivated me!
