Sizzilng September Sleevers Monday Check In
Labrys here and checkin' in: HW 238 SW 230 Last Week: 212 This Week: 212 I got a bit dehydrated this week and had to have Fluid IV. I could not stand drinking  as I got very nauseated with only a few sips. The nurse said go get an IV. I'm pushing fluids now. I have found that chamomile tea goes down easy. I feel much better now. I guess a stall at 3-4 weeks is common. I am not discouraged. I will NEVER EVER be this heavy again. That is a great feeling. I am away from home for a few days, so I may not post much, but I will check in to see your posts. GO GET 'EM Y'ALL!! :boxing:

Wow. great job. you are an inspiration!! I think I'm finally over the nausea stage. Part of it must have been caused by the antibiotic I had to take for my tooth. I had an eggbeater this morning. Yay for me. Yay for ALL of US.

AARRGGHHH swallowing pills
I am just 3 weeks out from surgery. Unfortunately, I had to have a root canal last week. So in addition to the regular medications I take, there are 2x multi Vitamins, 6 Calcium, a B1, and now 3 GIANT antibiotics and some pain pills. What the heck???? I cut the vitamins in half and any other pills that loom large. They sit at the top of my stomach like lead. Ok .... I'm better now. That was just a vent. Any advice???

Sizzilng September Sleevers Monday Check In
okey dokey. This is for Monday Oct 18. Caution this may be a TMI kind of a post. Good news: I'm down another couple of pounds. Bad news: I had to have a root canal this week and it has been painful. I was given some vicodin which I have taken. I think the vicodin has slowed my digestive process. Time will tell. Great news: I'm gonna see Kathy Griffin tonight with my sweetie! I hardly eat. I think my little doggie is eating more than I do. I am not doing so well on the Fluid either. A couple of sips and I just don't want any more. I gotta force them down because there are too many bad things that could happen with too little fluid. I hope all of you are doing well. Can't wait to hear from you.

September Sleevers YAY The party is ON
Ok.. I'm on Stage III foods. I am finding that I can barely eat. The most is about a 1/4 cup of food. I am not getting enough liquid either. Any hints out there for getting the liquid in??? I guess my capacity for food will increase. It amazes me how little I eat now.

Sizzilng September Sleevers Monday Check In
Oh WOW... I just love this group! YOu all are so encouraging and dang it, we're all just wonderwomen! I am just now starting to eat a bit, just cottage cheese, yogurt, although, I was able to eat a couple of wheat thins and about 1/4 cup of potato salad at my sweetie's home. I love the thought of getting smaller and smaller. Just like that sappy song of the 70's, We've Only Just Begun. You all ROCK. :xena_banana:

I guess it is so individual who can tolerate the Protein drinks and who can't. I started out doing ok with them, but now two sips makes me green around the gills. Thanks so much for participating with this thread. LilMissDiva, you are a wonder. Keep up that good work and positive attitude. The numbers on the scale are not all controlling. Getting those close baggy is a great achievement. WTG Jordien, You SEXY Thang!! There are sooo many benefits to dropping weight. Awesome.

- Sizzilng September Sleevers Monday Check In
Okey Dokey... Here is my first Monday check in. I am a few days shy of 2 weeks since my surgery. My weight ticker reflects only my weight loss since before surgery. Down 14 pounds since surgery. YAY. I am in my 60's so I am expecting my weight loss to be on the slower side. I am still on the Stage II diet, but feel ready to move. I am having trouble getting the Protein shakes down as a bit of nausea is starting to happen. I have found that soft scambled eggs do well for me. Thank goodness for popsicles as they are a tremendous help in getting fluids down. I hope others will post. Seeing other's struggles and successes helps to keep me focused.- Sizzilng September Sleevers Monday Check In
OKey Dokey... This is IT. Check in on Monday. We're on our way. Can't wait to get started. Let's support each other and Celebrate each other's successes.- September Sleevers YAY The party is ON
Hey, whadda ya think about starting our own Monday Check In here. I really would like to track my progress. It keeps me better on track. I am resisting the urge to weigh everyday, but weekly would be A-OK with me. Anyone interested????- new here and just wanted to say hi
Welcome! I'm pretty new here too. My daughter and close friend both had the surgery. Mine was Sept 29, 2010. I can say that they are both sooo pleased with the weight loss. It has done wonders for their self esteem. There are so many benefits to weight loss. I just wish I had done this 20 years ago... but then the sleeve was not an option then. My daughter had the surgery when she was 18 and has blossomed into the most beautiful girl. Good luck. Read all you can.- September Sleevers YAY The party is ON
Happy to meet all of you. From the tickers it looks like we're a stellar group. Who is on stage III foods? What goes down easy? I had to push my appt with Dr out a week due to my friends medical situation. I don't know if I can survive an extra week on stage II foods.- I'm on the Road to Onederland!! Who's with me?
Wow What enthusiasm ! Just one question for the newbie, What the heck is onederland???? Is it when you have you have lost 100 pounds or when your weight is one hundred and something?? I'm on my way too. I'd just like to know where I going.- Do NOT do what I did today!
Thanks for the reminder on eating. I have new sleeve. I took my daughter out to eat last night at Fresh Choice, mainly a salad bar. I knew I could not eat, but, boy, it did look good. I settled for small serving of cottage cheese and some Soup broth. It would have been easy for me to take something I could not handle, but having read enough here to know not to go there. They say this experience is behavior modification with a vengeance.- September Sleevers YAY The party is ON
Anyone else out there with a September Sleeve???? I got my sleeve on my Birthday, Sept 29. I'm on Stage II foods (full liquids). So far everything is great. My incisions are still a bit sore, but that will pass.- Monday Morning Weigh In
Pre Surgery weight: 238 Surgery date weight: 230 Today's weigh in: 224 YAHOO!- September sleevers wanted!
I got sleeved in South San Francisco on 9/29/10. I am losing weight now, as expected. All the functions have returned. I'm not too hungry at all. I am starting to miss "crunch". I am one of 3 on whom they used a new technique of using only 2 incisions. I feel really good, but stomach is still a bit sore. I'm keeping active. I need to work on getting more fluids. I am looking forward to a much healthier me.- YaY! Kaiser So. SF gave me surgery date!
Yepp, yep, yepperoni.... :w00t: I have my surgery date. Believe it or not, its on my BIRTHDAY, Sept 29!! I have been on the diet plan for about a month.... I am excited. (>|<)- I am 64 and have lost 100 pounds
Labrys here... Um... I'm 62 and believe I'll have the surgery in June. Thank you for posting this. I was wondering how we seasoned girls would do with the surgery. Congrats on your success!- ANY regrets getting the Vertical Sleeve?
My daughter, just turned 19, had the surgery last Aug. She was 384 on the surgery date. She has lost 100 pounds and the weight loss is starting to really show. But more than anything else, it has given her "a life". She is optimistic about boyfriends, she is in college and sees a future. There are no words to describe how this makes me feel. I am so glad we took this step. Life without so much weight is worth so much more than the dollars. Dr. Aceves- Going to Mexico on August 9th
My daughter is here now, had the surgery on Aug 5. EVERYONE here is great. I love the Mexican people. ALL of the doctors and nurses are so kind and helpful. I highly recommend getting the surgery done here. - Sizzilng September Sleevers Monday Check In
