Is it just me or is this not as easy as it seems?
The gas was my worst enemy! The only thing that helped me sleep through the gas pain with the ultra strength gas x pills (not strips) and my pain medicine. I could easily sleep til about 4 or 5 before the pains would come back again, and with me I walked everyday sometimes even for about 45 minutes at a time- that did not relieve the gas pains. The only thing that did was the gas x and the pain meds. It eventually just stopped right before I reached week 3. I hope that you start to feel better soon hun.

Eight Months Out!

Just weighed myself.....
I completely agree! Having the surgery was the best thing I could have done with my life. The pains come off and on, but I say give it til your about 3 weeks and most of the pains or soreness should be gone, at least that's how it was for me

Just weighed myself.....
Dr. Nick is awesome!!!! Things are going pretty well, right now I'm stuck on 264 it's been that way for about 5 days but I contribute that to my lack on gym time this week. I've had alot going on but I intend on going today- i try to go at least 3x a week. At around 4 days post op I was doing all my normal stuff, my mom fussed alot saying I needed to take things easy but I'm a busy bee lol. How are things for you???

School + Recovery time
I had my surgery about 3 weeks before finals- needless to say I missed alot of lectures, however... I kept up with class via emails with my professors, class website, etc.. and I got my final grades last night for the sememester- I pulled off all B's.... I actually had 2 high B's which I wish would have been A's but I'm not going to complain about B's lol. And I pulled this off with missing at least 3 weeks of lecture, so it definitely can be done. Hope this helps.

Me and "that" scale....
So yesterday I had my 6 wk post op appointment and I don't go back to see my surgeon until October 5th. I am once again in a stall. I'm setting at 264lbs and nothing is changing! To say that I'm frustrated is an understatement. I do believe that the scale will move again. I have one of those Health O Meter scales which is horrible and today I ordered a scale from overstock.com and it's a Taylor scale I have so many things on my mind...... I think I'm stressing out and maybe I need a break from thinking about my weight so I'm going to force myself to go to the gym, do normal "Candace" stuff and try and focus mostly on graduating. When the scale goes down another 5 pounds- I will blog again- until then, I'm on strike lol.

What are your makeover plans?
Depending on how big or small my breasts are at the end of this year, I will either be getting a reduction and lift or a lift by its self. Right now I'm a 42DD so we shall just see, 2 weeks ago my back was hurting so bad from having these huge things that I called a plastic surgeon that same day I was just so upset and my family had to talk me out of it... so hopefully the more weight I lose the smaller they get. I'm also looking forward to new clothes and new shoes, I think I can officially wear heels and not cry the entire time lol. I also want my hair done and I meet with a dermatologist next week.

Let's Talk: Post Op Acne
I've always had acne even before surgery but the older I get the less pimples I have, but since surgery- it's like pretty bad. I drink about 70oz of water a day and as far as my diet, I still kinda stick with the soft solids even though I'm at 6wks post op and I now can add more but Idk, it's strange. I hope that I can finally get it under control, well back under control lol. Thanks for posting!

Let's Talk: Post Op Acne
SO, My skin is starting to remind me of my first initial break outs when I was 11 or 12. OMG, my face looks awful! I'm going to see a dermatologist next Wednesday and I know it's because of all the crazy hormones that this is happening I'm just hoping that he can help me out cause I feel weird with all this roughness going on lol. Anyone in the same boat???

Off Work
I went back after about 10 days or so and it was horrible, I had to get up and walk to keep my stomach from hurting(that was on a thursday) and so I waited til Monday to go back again for the second time and I had no problems.

Fruits & Vegetables......
I've taken both miralax and milk of magnesia- and mlk of magnesia works extremely fast- I would say I had a BM within an hr and a half of taking it and it does the job very well. My mom is a nurse and so when I was taking the miralax and it wasn't working and i was feeling horrible, she made me go to the store and get the milk of magnesia- it was the best advice she gave me. I don't have that problem usually anymore but I know that when it comes back, I'm sticking with the milk of magnesia.
