  1. I'll be a month out Wednesday too, and I've only lost 18 pounds. So I feel your pain. I questioned my surgeon about it last week and he told me not to worry. The weight will come off. He said part if why my loss might be slower than others is because I had lost weight before the surgery and pre op diet. Sounds like you may be in that same boat??
  2. Amazing and inspirational NSV! Congrats to you!!
  3. I was sleeved on the 11th, came home on the 13th and I am doing great. Heartburn is starting to get really bad, but I go back to the doctor this afternoon so I plan on discussing it then. I struggle to get the liquid in, but I love cottage cheese so I am doing pretty good with my protein. I don't think I am losing as fast as everyone else, but as long as its coming off, I am happy
  4. Awesome awesome awesome!!!!!
  5. Great advice from Rev, but I would add one more thing. You need to get out and walk for at least 5 minutes every hour you are on the road. Only being two weeks out from surgery, you will be at risk for a DVT if you stay seated for to long at one time.
  6. I thought everyone would like to know, since I've been whining for a week and a half about not losing, that I've lost 5 pounds in the last 4 days!!! I didn't do anything different, just pushed through. Thank you everyone for your encouragement!!
  7. I completely sympathize with you! We went to Branson to Silver Dollar City for the weekend and it was the same kind of torture! I am just three weeks out today and this trip was killer!! Popcorn, ice cream, polish sausage, candy, fudge, you name it, there was a vendor for it!! I stood firm though! Good for you for your willpower! Congrats!!
  8. Please tell me what you are doing that I'm not. I'm at a loss. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong but obviously something is not working! I'm desperate!!
  9. I lost 10 pounds the first week post op, NOT AN OUNCE SINCE THEN!! I am so frustrated, getting depresses!! I got in 73g of protein today, between 50 and 60 ounces of water, and 810 calories. What am I doing wrong???? I feel like I wasted my time and money having this surgery! I never would have put myself and my body through this if I had known this would be the result. Please somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong!!
  10. Praying for a speedy recovery!! Keep us posted, please!
  11. Thanks everyone for all the responses and support! I've put the scale away and I'm just not going to focus on it. I'm going to keep doing what my doctor told me to do and not worry about it! I feel great and that's the most important thing!!!
  12. Not sure what it is Samantha, but I'm definitely saying a prayer for you RIGHT NOW! Call your doctor if at all possible. And keep us updated.
  13. I also have a protein shake each day. The lady couple of days I got 26 and 29 grams of protein. I thought that was pretty good for just a week and a half out from surgery but maybe it's not?? I'm trying to increase it everyday as I can.
  14. I'm only a week and a half out from surgery and I've already decided to get rid of the scale! I have lost 10 pounds and I just don't feel like I'm losing anymore!! I got excited a few days ago cuz I though I lost 14pounds, but no, it was a fluke with my scale I eat a fourth of a cup of pureed soup or beans or cottage chees for meals and sip water all day, and I feel like it's for nothing! Isn't the weight suppose to just fall off right now?? I feel like I wasted my money on this surgery!
  15. That is awesome!!!!!! Congrats to you on your hard work paying off! I can't wait to be below 200!!!
  16. I am sitting in the doctors office as I type! Can't wait to be cleared so I can drive my babies to school again!! Congrats to you!!
  17. Congratulations! That's amazing! So happy for you!
  18. I slipped up yesterday It was my dad's birthday and my husband made homemade Hershey chocolate icing. Needless to say, I ate about 2 tablespoons of icing over the course of the afternoon... I beat myself up over it yesterday, but, you know what? Today is a new day, I can't undo it, I can only do better today!! That's just the attitude I have to have about that kind of stuff because IT HAPPENS! We are all human.
  19. Woohoo! Got sleeved on Monday, feeling pretty good today. Monday I was pretty much out of it the rest of the day. Every day since has gotten better. I came home yesterday (with a stupid JP drain - I hate it). I am on full liquids now. So far, everything is great. I am expecting some not so great days, but right now, I havent had any yet. YAY!!!!!
  20. I'm right there with ya!! I have to check in to the hospital in 14 and a half hours. My brain is in overdrive. I can't think straight!!! WOW!!!
  21. Wow! Tomorrow is the BIG day for a lot of us!! I am so nervous, as I'm sure everyone is!! My surgery is at 7am in the morning. Good luck to everyone, I'll be saying a prayer (or two, or a thousand ) for all of us!
  22. Congratulations!!! What an inspiration to those of us just starting our journey!!
  23. OMG!!! April is finally here!! Woohoo!! We need to all keep each other updated as we have our surgeries  Only 10 days until mine!!!
