  2. Thank you so much for introducing yourself. It feels like we just meet and had a long talk over coffee or something... Welcome to the losers side of the bench! 10 pounds in one week is fantastic! Sounds like you have started this journey off right! Look forward to watching you shrink:)
  3. Congratulations and welcome to the losers side!!! The ride home was the worst for me too!!!! Look forward to future updates.

  6. I am so glad you said that you are thankul for those Youtube videos~ I hadnt thought about it like that. I just thought wow I dont want that surgery. Poor sucker...I wouldnt have researched and looked into the sleeve I would have settled for RNY. GOOD POINT!
  7. T~ I used this site for all my support the first few weeks. I have a supportive family but I found that the people hear were easier to talk to because there was someone who felt everything I felt. I had a bit of an emotional recovery~no complications just emotional and moody. I knew it was the hormones being released from my body burning the stored fat. I had one (OK three) days when I told my husband that he forced me to have the surgery (SO NOT TRUE). I pouted and felt like my life would...well...suck and that with out food I would never have a good time again. I am now almost 5 months out and while I honestly find times it is inconvenient to eat different foods then my family I am not missing anything. I have way more fun now because I am not thinking about my big body fitting into little spaces or hiding behind my kids in pictures. Come here and post all of your thoughts and concerns and let us all help you through the rough time and then rejoice with you when you make it to the good times! And trust me they aren't far away! Blessings~ Annette
  8. YES! Great job girly!!!! I love that you posted the picture. Happy Easter to you.
  9. Awesome NSV~I hope you feel as great as you look!!! Strut your stuff girly.
  10. You have done a great job with your weight loss and you have learned all kinds of new things about eat. Right? Even if you have to take a small break from some of those new rules you will not forget them. I agree that you just need to find a great obgyn right now and let them answer all your questions...if they havent had a wls patient before ask if anyone in the office has. I've heard wls patients who get prego need a high risk dr at first. Anyway I am excited for you (and a little jealous...I love having babies) and pray that this pregnancy goes well. Please keep us posted on how you are doing!
  11. I would say that you should see your doctor. Still walk until you get in to see them just take it easy...maybe 1/2 mile at a time. Did you ever have this pain before? Could you have twisted it?
  12. I like fat secret. Have it on my Droid.
  13. Thank goodness for the sleeve and all of my sleeve sister and brothers who took the path before me so it wasn't as scary when it was my turn. AMEN TO THAT!!!!!!
  14. Welcome! This is a great place to be.

  16. Sorry that you have had such a hard time...not only are you not a big baby but you are super strong...you have been dealing with pain everyday since surgery. Take good care of yourself...please keep us posted and let us know how you are feeling.
  17. lyn~saying a prayer that everything goes well. Take care of yourself the next few weeks and remember to get up and walk as soon as you can and walk, walk, walk, then sip, sip, sip.
  18. I think of myself as a quick loser. I had surgery about 4 months ago and I have lost 77.5 pounds and have 14 pounds until I get to my goal weight. I have strictly followed my nutritionist’s diet. I have not eaten anything that I was not allowed to. I do not feel like I did before surgery when I would diet. I seldom feel like eating anything. Occasionally, I wish I could eat something that I remember tasting so good. That is just head hunger and the moment passes quickly. I think even the head hunger is better now that I have learned how to eat in the real world. By that, I mean I have learned what I can order when I am out with my family and friends. I have learned what to grab on the go. I have PCOS and I know that my body does not do well with Carbs. I loved carbs pre surgery but I am doing just fine with just a few crackers a week now (before it would have been more like a box in one sitting). I work at keeping my carbs under 30 a day. It works great for me.
  19. Wow my doctor was very cautious...2 weeks clear fluids...2 week full fluids...mushies until 6 weeks...solids (proteins only) until 8 weeks.
  20. That is great! You got so much done. I am glad you did not waste the day in your house. Sounds like you enjoyed every minute.
