  1. Saying a little prayer that everything goes smoothly for you tomorrow. Just remember to sip constantly and walk as soon as they let you get up. Sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk.
  2. It really does get better! hang in there...
  3. Oh yes this was a big goal for me too! I have been using that weight for a long time always wondering if the people who looed at my license are like " yeah you wish lady". Good for you!
  4. I am almost 4 months out and just had my first whole wheat tortilla with taco meat and cheese last week. I ate about 1/2 of it.
  5. I have dreams all the time about eating something I shouldnt. I had them weekly right after surgery not as often now. I had a dream recently that I took a huge gulp of soda out of a straw at a resturant and then felt very sick. I have put things in my mouth to taste it while I was cooking and spit them out as soon as I realized it. But the best was the day before surgery when you can have nothing but clear fluids, I took the Lord's Supper at church with out thinking about it and then completely freaked out that the doctor would cut open my stomach and find the tiny wafer and grape juice. Glad I am not the only one who has these crazy thoughts.
  6. Yeah you!!!! I so want to run a 5K!
  7. kkmommy and Heather- good luck to you both kkmommy- Heather did a good job of explaining what happened to me...with the exception of having a hard time with the iv because I was so dehydrated from the bowel prep. It seemed like start to finish was just seconds but it was hours. You do well. See you on the losers bench.
  8. Praise the LORD! I had read that this was a goal of yours and I am so excited for you. I will add you to my daily prayers. Please keep us posted with the growth of this blessing!
  9. Awesome feel right!
  10. I am saying a prayer for you Cathy. I will pray for you tomorrow too. I would take chap stick and slippers with you. Your lips get SO dry. When you are up walking around (do that as soon as possible) you dont want to walk the halls of the hospital barefoot and I found the socks they gave me a little slippery. Ear phones and some music was helpful at night when I was trying to sleep and my roommate was watching tv. You know I tried to have a last meal...Outback and I couldnt eat much so it was kind of a waste of money. I think last meals are over rated. Remember to walk walk walk and sip sip sip. See you on the losers bench before you know it! Blessings,
  11. GREAT JOB GIRL! BAGGY size 10 is so awesome.
  12. Congratulations on your sleeve. Did they tell you to start eating more solid foods? I was on clear fluids for two weeks after surgery. Then I was on mushies until 6 weeks. I also came home from the hospital with a ppi but I open the capsule and dump the contents on my tongue then drink a sip of Water or two until it is down. You can ask your pharmacist if you can do that with yours. Good Luck to you. Take good care of your self.
  13. Scooter thank you for posting your success. You really have done well. I am about a month behind you and I know what you mean about a salad and fresh veggies! Right now all I can eat is Protein and then I am done. Keep up the good work...keep us posted on your journey.
  14. You are such a cool grandma! Great NSV! Thanks for sharing.
  15. I have a high bed too! It was a little tricky at first but I figured it out pretty quick. I kind of backed in and swung my legs around. I think after two or three days I got in and out with out even thinking about it. Just be patient and try different ways until you find one that works. I think that you should sleep in which ever place will give you the best rest. Good Luck on your recovery!

  22. that is exactly why I stopped weighing myself so much. I only weigh once a week because it feels so much better to see 2 -3 pounds come off then it does to see 1/2 pound each day. I think for me it is about water weight but not sure I could explain it.
