Kye: My port also pertrudes, and was quite sore until 4-5 weeks post op, plus I am big busted and that pushes on it a bit. But since I will not ever be wearing a bikini or tight fitting clothes I don't think it will be a problem for me. All the soreness has gone away on my port now and it is just a lump below my left breast. So that will get better for you too! thank goodness huh!

Red: Do you recall the criteria on the chart? Was it mostly based on losing or not losing weight? Hunger pains? Did you qualify for the biggest avail fill to you or the smallest avail? Where were you in the chart? I am def. planning on going to the fashion show, so hopefully we will see you there! That will be fun! Also the next s. Meadows lapband support group meeting is Thursday 4/19/07 @6pm. You are doing fantastic; look at you go!

Can't take it anymore!
WAS a bubble butt You did your own unfill? Tell me; how did that go? How much did you take out? I have just followed your thread, but I have a thought. What about keeping your band unfilled and see if you lose weight? Have you did a google search on your spasms? Did you run that by Dr.C on this website, just for his information and opinion? I am sure he would be curious on your and your diagnosis. Please keep me/us posted.

I am losing weight again, I think it is the South Beach breakfast and lunches. However, it might be that I am slightly nauseated every afternoon, about 1130-2pm-3pm so it is dimenishing my appetite. But maybe I am interrepting this as slightly nauseated but in reality maybe it is just me not being hungry. wierd wierd wierd. I just have to stay away from eating in the mid day time. It just makes me say yuck at that time of day. hmmmmmmmm

Gail; For Chris to be able to walk 5-6 mi. is EXCEPTIONAL. He must have a physical job to be able to keep him in shape like that. 2 miles is about all I want to walk at any time, after that I am pushing myself, that is why the Marina is a perfect walk for me.

My poodle will love your dog. Our last boxer just passed away one year ago. Does your dog go in the Water? Bring a water bottle IF she does because water bottles filled 1/2 will float and she can chase it. Does she retrieve? I love boxers; I was raised with them and then I had raised my kids with boxers; but I HATE the short (average 12 year) lifespan; it is too short for me. I am sitting here waiting for the accountant to call and tell me what time we are getting together today.

Flatbed? Is that because of the snowmobiles? I remember what you look like, so I will be watching for you. I would love to "easily" walk 5-6 but it would take me .... awhile; maybe a couple hours. I am 99% sure I will be there. I drive a green camry with a grey/silver poodle as my passenger in the front seat.

Eeeeek I did not know there were more than one set of bathrooms. So lets see From I-80 and McCarren I make right on Nichols and veer right through the round about (i think) and go through the back of a parking lot for the "hotel" section of Western Village and at the end of that parking lot back by the freeway there is a set of bathrooms and a pier for fishing and then a little further the "dog park area". Have you been walking? Is two miles alot for you? We can take it as fast or slow as you want, but we must finish, because there is only one way to get back to our cars.

Tammyj: Help me understand "why" create a new thread? What would the new thread do that this one doesn't or does? What would be the difference? I think I am missing something.

I really want to go and your inspiring me to do the 2 mile walk. My accountant may need me so I will get on LBT around 11am if that is okay with you. At this point we are on for meeting by the bathrooms right by the freeway, I am only bringing one dog; the poodle. She can keep up!

momlambert; With all the stuff going on with your Dad; that causes a huge amount of stress; so maybe even you should think about having a back up prescription in the cupboard too, so when you mention this to your surgeon's nurse tell her you want an extra prescription "just in case" you feel something coming on at 6pm on Friday night, so you won't have to bug her over the weekend. Stress always causes me to get sick. And really I only get sick maybe 1x per year or every couple years, but definately everytime each of my parents passed on.

Gail: Scolari's has them $2.00 each. That is the cheapest I have ever seen, also their selection is really big on S. Beach. Walmart has only a few selections. I have a new website you will LOVE! sparkpeople.com

momlambert; TRY and get rid of the cough QUICK! I think you should call your PA and see if she will give you something because you are only 10 days post op, maybe no big deal though. I would assume it uses similar muscles as throwing up,maybe I am wrong.

Sue I have not had a fill yet, I am only 1 week in front of you. I eat salad no problem, I love salad. I would be cautious about allowing another dr. to do a fill other than the surgeons office or hmmmmmmmmmmm. I am not experienced enough with that. I would go to the January board and ask them. I have heard of people doing their own fills, I would NEVER do that, it scares the heck out of me. Hair loss? Did you call your dr. (how much hair?) Are you eating enough fat and protein? One of my friends went on a liquid diet for 6+ months and she lost alot of her hair, it was only temporary, but I would ask your dr. what he thinks. Also there is a dr. who posts on this quite often, try and find him on the members search. Eggs? I am making deviled eggs for a BBQ this Sunday. Eggs are a great source of protein and fat. OH I love south beach diet frozen lunches. I have to share with you. I am slightly nauseated everyday mid afternoon for about 1- 1 1/2 hrs., I get through it but it would be very easy for me to throw up. YUK! wierd.
