WHAT IS ON YOUR DO NOT EAT LIST?
I have not had my first fill yet but i know that i cannot eat tortillas or apples i tried one bite and chewed chewed chewed. but i still got a funny stabbing feeling. It may have been nothing but dont think im ganna try that again. also with the apples they seem to come right back up as well. even chewed really good but some reason when i eat baked apples soaked in water and stevia they come back up.

Banded 3/4, Questions!
I to measured out about a cup of food and at first I was not hungry at all. Then over the last few days I have actually started wanting it all and then some. I had an episode where I ate too much thick soup and it kind of had a burning feeling in the middle of my chest. I too burped and the food come up with it. its not really considered vomiting to me because there was no bile or horrible heaving involved. LOL. THANK GOODNESS! But as far as the mushies go it pretty easy to maintain with it. I gained 1 lb back over the last week because I started eating different things. *and started TOM and want EVERYTHING under the sun* but i stay on track with my 1 cup of food. The nutritionist told me if i need more than 1 cup just spread it out and make sure its the right choices that im eating more of. to know that i am full...i usually have to hiccup but they say everyone has a different full feeling. GOOD LUCK congrats on your weight loss so far!!!

Surgery date moved UP....need a pep talk (long, sorry)
It is perfectly normal to be scared. Im not going to lie. I drove almost 4 hours to get to my surgery clinic and the night before thought about bolting! But I told myself it has been a long journey in life down the unhealty road and it was time to do somthing good for my life. I went thru with the surgery and the moment I woke up I told the nurse " I wish I were born skinny" she laughed and told me "you were but it was the wrong choices that got you here but not to worry that this will be by far the BEST decision you ever made for your self" I believe she was right. It is only day 15 for me and I am already loving it! I dont have a fill yet but just knowing that I have made the best choice really helps! I have lost a total of 11.9lbs since my surery and I enjoy every second I have now. I think most of the enjoyment is the fact that one day I will be healthy and be able to get out and enjoy life rather than feeling sorry for my fat self. I know Im not the best motivational speaker there is but I will tell you that this decision can change your life and be ONE of the best decisions you ever make. I have had no complication (even had a hernia repair with lapband) and feel great!!! Good luck on your journey and we are all ehere to help keep you motivated before and after.

Stage 3 HELP PLEASE!
I am starting mushies tomarrow. I was banded 14 days ago and I am kind of worried about what all I should eat. I have been trying to stick with low carb soups and things but but at this stage its very hard to follow low carb. Things such as yogart and fat /sugar free pudding are LOADED with carbs. Im not sure what to do with low fat or low carb. its very hard to do both.

Pre-Op diet and weight loss
I lost about 5 lbs my first day but like they say before me its usually water weight. I think on the 2 weks i was on it i lost about 17lbs. My diet consisted of high protein and low carb. I could eat all protiens i wanted and was encouraged to drink protein shakes. I never tried but 2 shakes at that stage but ate a LOT of cheese burgers without the bread. lol. Good luck on your pre-op diet.

Hiatal Hernia
I was banded 2/24/11 and had a hiatal hernia repair and epigastric hernia repair along with the band the same time. I didnt get any extra scars from the procedure. I do have all my scars on the left side tho since i had scars from other surgeries on the right side. I only have 5 very tiny incisions and one large incision from the port site. They say the only difff i feel is a tugging almost feels hard to swollow things that was the first week. after that everything else has felt normal. The doc said i may feel that tugging for 3months but its been 13 days and amazingly i feel great!

I am still on full liquid phase so i know what you going thru. But i made my own broccili and cheese soup only 44cal oer serving and at this stage it was enough to satisfy me. I did have potatoe soup last night i had to limit all my carb intake all day just to have it but it gave me sanity ive been looking for. Go to calorieking.com and type in soup youll be amazed what places have delicious healthy soup you can try. Good luck!
