  1. Always a good idea to do your own eggs unless its a restraunt instead of fast food. I have trouble with fast food eggs so never do it! That feeling your having is probably a full feeling. its different after your banded. you dont feel overly stuffed but you just have it sitting in your esophgus and its annoying to me more than anything else. I did that for a while and thought i was stuck so i would make myself vomit. turns out i was losing poorly and went to dr he said ""your full! leave it be. lol""
  2. Thank you for the information. I had my surgery a day after you and have struggled greatly! Can I ask, how are you eating. Do you eat only hight protein and low carb, do you still enjoy good foods now and then? Do you exercise and how much. Also, where are you getting the coromega from? Thank you your imput would be greatly appreciated. I stuggle with snippy attitude quite a bit and i know its because I work my hiney off trying to lose weight and Im just not anywhere where I need to be.
  3. try to find more filling foods that may stick with you. And I would definately eat about 1/2 cup atleast of food! My surgeon told me to only eat about 4T andmake sure it goes down before I continue to eat this food. I ate things like scambled eggs, and thick protein shakes* almond milk protein powder and jello fat free sugar free pudding mix! its thick and it stays with you a little longer than greasy or fatty foods. Before I got restriction I could definatley eat anything and as much as I wanted of it! I had to stop myself alot of times so I didnt over eat. And as people before me said. Its hard to stretch your pouch esp when you dont have restriction. What you may have now is just mild swelling still.
  4. I had a fill, felt the same way then it got misreable not being able to eat normal food, so I got .2cc removed and its fantastic! I can eat what i need to chew really good and still have the restriction that i need!
  5. Just like Roziecakes My tummy growls alot. my doc said your not hungry its just not used to being empty for a long period of time. Also i burp A LOT! I never really burped before my surgery but now i can out burp my hubby. lol its normal. but they say if you slow down on drinking and dont gulp you wont have that much air for gas later. Also dont use a straw!
  6. I have no experiences with this I just wanted to say stay strong and I am sure that you will eventually find something that taste good! Have you called the bariatric clinic again to see when you can resume fills?
  7. I went about 4 months with no restriction I felt the same exact way. Really funny thing is that I got the stomach virus about 3 weeks ago and wasnt able to keep anything down. ddi a lot of vomiting and a WHOLE lot of worrying the band slipped. I called my doct about 4 days after i was feeling better went in had a upper GI and BAM! She said " your at good restriction'! thats all it took. ha ha. she i watched as the fluid took its time going down but nothing ever got stuck. I now eat about 1/2 cup food about 5 bites before I get full. She said there is nothing wrong with that at all! I do suggest to go back to your doctor but I also know that the feeling of restriction is different for everyone and if your not misreable with the amount food your eating then your fine.
  8. I just found out we report on wednesdays this month. Sorry my weight is 243.4 today.

  11. My may Challenge was definaltey challenging. I am 244.8 Only down .2 last week. But atleast Im down! I am 4lbs shy of my goal tho! BOO but I still lost weight. I was very sick this month with getting adjusted to what restriction feels like! I cant wait for the JUNE challenge!!!
  12. I used baby food cause of convience. But if i loved tp make my own too. I made thibgs like goolash and pureed it. Really taste the same! Lol. Even spaghetti does!
  13. Good mushies are mash potatoes, puree broccoli and cheese. I cooked a LOT of different stuff. remeber mushies have consistancy they are not liquid. I bought a magic bullet that thing is my best friend!!! I also ate yogart, sugar free fat free pudding, canned chicken pureed with stewed tomatoes. Basically my doc told me that mushie stage was consistancy -no lumps but mild bumps- lol.
  14. I ate baby food and still do actually. I loved the sweet potatoes I just added cinnamon and stevia and they were awsome! Same thing with the apples and pairs! I am almost 3 months post op and I have struggled a bit over the last month with no restriction at all and then too much at once. But now Im right on track and I actually still eat banana baby food for a snack when I need it. My doctor said it was perfectly fine and a good idea. Just get the beginning stage now. and once ou have restriction go up to the Stage 3 or stage 4!
  15. I didnt have a computer last week but I had a rough week. I got a fill and to my suprise it was 2.5 cc. TOTALLY restriction! All of sudden after being able to eat anything I wanted I now cant eat jack! I stated sliming and vomiting everytime I ate. So needless to say last week put me a week behind on my goal. I still 245.4 and didnt lose anything last week. I weigh again Saturday officially so I will see what this week brought me! I finally made my brain adjust to eating right!!! CHEW CHEW CHEW is my new moto!
  16. Checking in this week. I gained .4 uggg...its okay tho! Im still on track. officially 245.4
  17. VERY WELL PUT!!! I figured I ate one sun chip too many and got stuck! i ate a total of 8 chips and should have had 7! i learned my lesson. lol will prob never touch another sun chip. and my sliming last anywhere from 10-20 minutes. I am new found restriction so its definatley a learning expierence! I been banded almost 3 months but just got fill 2 weeks ago and gave me slight restrictions! So now I have to relearn everything I threw out the window when food was going down so easily! LOL.
  18. 42 lbs is FANTASTIC! i was banded 2/24/11 and only lost 15 so far! Its not a race and remember your body has to work really hard to undo years of all the crap we ate before! Your doing great.! i was very discouraged untill about 2 weeks ago. I got my fill that really ment restriction for me! I am 5.5 in a 10cc band and feel the restriction for right now! I believe its really starting to work! I have decided instead of being down about not losing or just blowing my hard work, I am embracing the fact that I have lost 15lbs and if I keep this rate up 15lb every 2 months thats a possibility of 52lbs off by december! When you think about it...WHEN ELSE Would that EVER really happen!!!!!!! your doing great keep your head up. When do you get another fill?
  19. Thank you so much. I just got scared I had stuck before but never the pain associated. I will definatley stick to mushies today and make sure it heals. If all esle fails Im going in on the 23rd for check up! thanks again!
  20. Last night I got a sun chip stuck! I have had a stuck episode before and slightly vomited with lots of slime but Ive never had pain. Last night after the chip was stuck I had slime and litle bit of vomit but I felt pain in my band area. I just drank some warm water and went to bed. Today my stomach is sore. Is this normal? Do you think I could have caused band slippage? I was able to eat soggy cereal for bfast with minimal pain. But now Im just concearned.
  21. Amen! I lived on no sugar added fat free frozen yogart for a while!
  22. Mylicon! For babies works great
  23. Ive only been banded 2.5 months and its great so far. Since July of last year I have lost 68lbs. Being the bigger Younger sister has always been hard for me. It makes me proud when my sister tells me Im getting to be a skinny bitch! lol I cant wait for the day I am actually a skinny bitch along with yall!
  24. I totally understand the feeling! For mothers day my familly wanted to go eat chinese food! I planned ahead. Figured out I would eat brocccili and chicken and maybe some hot and sour soup. I was so excited it was the first time I was going to eat Chinese food since 6 months before my band! So...my third bite of chicken after chewing forever....STUCK! I ran to bathroom. Only to return with tears in my eyes and a dreadful feeling of SLIME! lol I was afraid to eat anything else for that feeling was bad enough! I felt like I missed a good oppotunity! I guess I just love food so much i hate to ruin a good dinner by getting stuck. Tho Im very glad to have my band I just know sometimes it really can be a bummer! Good way to think it atleast that chinese food didnt make my butt fatter! hehe
