I'm glad you asked. I was curious about that too. I've heard alof of different times 3 week to 6 weeks. I'm going to ask my doctor at my pre op on 4/29.

I got my surgery date -- 5/13/2011 -- now I'm in the process of getting things together. I just finished making a big batch of chicken soup for my Hubby but I strained off 6 1/2 quarts of broth for me for those days when I don't want to drink the protein drinks all the time. I read on this site about a binder. Someone e-mailed me back and told me what it was but I forgot to ask where can I get one from??? I don't know if my surgeon requires me to wear one but I think I would benefit from it. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance!!!

Thank you!!! We're both really excited!!! I can't stop smiling!! I know the people in my office think I'm loosing my mind but I don't care! I'm not telling anyone in my office what I'm doing. You know some people can be really cruel when they don't understand what's going on and what you've been going thru. I'm just going to take some vacation days and then return to work! Congrats on your surgery. I can't wait to start counting the days "after" I get Sleevie!!

I got my date and so did my Bestie/Sister!!! Yep we are doing this together, she goes in first then it's my turn!!! Same surgeon, same time, same date, same hospital, same hospital room hopefully!!! Can you tell I love her to bits and pieces??? I could not imagine doing this with anyone else. My surgery date is Friday, May 13 and I've already started marking the days off on my calendar. I'm off now to change my signature and put my new information in!! Thanks to all you lovely sleevers who have given me such good words of encouragement!!! Save a seat for both of us on the looser's bench!!!

I got my e-mail from the Davis Clinic today. My insurance approved me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I meet with the nutritionist tomorrow and the psych eval is on Friday. I can't wait!!!!!! I'm nervous and excited and ready to start my new journey. As soon as I get my surgery date I'll let you know. Keep me and my bestie/sister in your prayers -- we're taking/doing this journey together!!

You can e-mail me at gbgray118@yahoo.com The reason why I'm asking is my sister and I are going to a seminar tomorrow 3-8-11 and we were just wondering how long the wait would be before we were approved and things like that. I think you know how it is when you make up your mind about something you want to go ahead and do it NOW! We have United Healthcare Ins. if that helps any.
