  6. Sorry you are having such a difficult time. I was banded on the 20th and woke up in bad pain too. I stayed on my pain meds for 4 days then got off them. I have used the gas-x strips and have had very little gas pains. Hope things get better for you soon!
  7. YEAH! congratulations for making this very important decision and welcome to the Lap Band Talk forum. Right now begin getting your mind set ready for the pre-op diet. Most DR.S do require one and they can be tough!! Good luck and keep coming back and posting!!
  8. I have a little girl 20 months and there are many ways to spend quality time with her without picking her up. You have to let her come to you and get others in the household to do the lifting. You can read to her and watch TV with her. Play ball with her really what ever she likes. Just don't lift her. It has been a little difficult for me but it can be done. I have to make sure someone always rides to and from day care with me to lift her out and into the car seat! Just plan ahead to have help!
  9. My first thought is no it isn't. But I'd say you should ask a DR to know for sure.
  10. Happy Easter to you too! Wish I could chew but I am still doing liquids!
  11. I am to afraid to try anything other than liquids!! I got down some protein, chicken broth and a small orange pineapple drink. Just a few more days until some mushies. I can't wait!!
  12. Hope everything goes good tomorrow, try to get some rest.

  20. Hello. I am feeling better this morning. Still quite sore and feeling weak due to the liquids only right now!!! Dr. Hollis is great and I trust him. He seemed very competent and caring! What date in June are you getting your band? Thanks for asking! I think I replied a few days back but was still taking pain medicine often. I am going to try now to take any pain meds today if I can!
