Now I can just barely get it down. Protein drinks, chicken broth, tomato soup all tastes YUCK!!!! Please tell me this temporary. ANd if so how long before food tastes good? Thanks!
  2. Hi and welcome. I was also banded last Wednesday the 20th. I am still struggling as well, but not with sleep. I seem to be sleeping too much. I feel weak from the liquid diet and tomorrow I return to work. That is going to be hard. I am glad you joined!
  3. I hope it is nothing too serious. Keep us informed and good luck!
  4. The 5 days will go by quickly. I know you are struggling but hang in there. I was able to have a little solid food with my liquids so I know you are hungry.
  5. The one I had was just tomato soup by Campbells. The one you can drink right out of the can! I has been feeling real weak but that helped!!!!!!
  6. I also was banded on the 20th and am right where you are. Getting sick of liquids. I tried tomato soup and that was different. So far it stayed down. I know the protein shakes are necessary right now to get all the protein and to help you heal! I also am drinking a little diet cranberry juice-so you might try that.
  7. Thanks great topic! I am on day 3 and it still hurts quite a bit!!
  8. I am day 3 also and no BM. I haven't got real worried because I am putting no solids in at this time.
  9. My hernia was discovered during the surgery. Yes there will be an extra charge. My DR is going to file it with my insurance and then I will have to pay what the insurance does not.
  10. Good luck with your husband. I know you will need his support! Keep us informed and remember we are here is you need someone to talk to!!
  11. I was hungry after surgery, but after that no so much so. I am banded 3 days now. Good luck.

  14. Thank you so much for your post. I really needed to hear that. I am 3 days banded and getting tired of liquids quick!!!!
  15. Hello I am just 3 days banded and getting to the point of being tired of liquids. I am still real sore and like you had a hernia repaired. I am weak too and I have to return to work Monday. I am not sure how that is gonna work. Sounds like you are doing kind of normal to me. Good luck!
  16. I have never found this sellar on ebay
  17. I was told to let the band get secured in your stomach. I was also told the first few weeks after the band is placed that is the greatest risk of slippage. I just got my band yesterday and hate the liquid diet but gonna stick to it. I suggest staying with liquids and give your body a change to heal.
  18. One more thing, make sure you are walking quite a bit.
  19. Hi. I too was banded on 4/20/11. I consider my self lucky because my gas pains have been minimal. I am taking the gas-x strips. I have quite a bit of pain but it is all in my stomach area. Sorry you are having such a difficult ime right now.
  20. Hey I am in same boat as you. Self pay just got banded yesterday. I did not tell my PCP. I didn't want to have that conversation!
