Shamrock, welcome! I do think we all feel that way as we have all failed so miserably, and so often, with every other diet. But, from what I've read, it's pretty to NOT be successful with the sleeve. I mean, anyone can sabotage it and eat through it, but I don't believe that most of us do/will - not like with the band. Come and join our October Sleevers group! Hey, Smoke.....I am also going to start early.....my doc doesn't require a preop diet like liquids or anything, just low carb, low fat....but I'm gonna be a little more extreme than that. The more I can help my body along, the better! And, it helps this time to know that whatever I lose before the surgery during this diet, will actually STAY off this time Unlike suffering in the past, only to gain it all back, plus some!

Welcome, Fusilli!! So glad you're here! I cannot believe your doc has a 4-week pre op plan! Wow. Toture! But you are doing awesome, it sounds like and your body will most likely be in better shape than mine My surgeon only requires low-carb, low-fat for 2 weeks - no liquids. So weird how every surgeon is SO different! Had to laugh about the commercials and the drinking game That's funny! I've read that a lot on here....I'm sure I'll experience it after the surgery.....you'll be well prepared by then!!!

Hey, Betty!! SOOO glad you're here with us! I agree that waiting is so hard! I've been obsessing over this since February! Course, now that it's scheduled, and I see some of our siblings scheduled for the 3rd and 4th, I feel nervous for them, lol!
