  1. I hope you have found some help in the time between your post and me reading this...but I was banded on 12/28 by Dr. Darin Minkin in St. Louis! I am now a cash patient and I pay $125 for fills. I am not sure how he is about taking patients that he hasnt banded...but I would think it would be worth a phone call! He is an excellent dr!! Good Luck!!
  2. Spoiltmom--I feel the EXACT same way! I too, got a fill yesterday and feel SO tight! I am having the exact same problems you are with everything-liquids and all! I got a fill about a month and a half ago, and had to have a small unfill after 2 weeks because I couldnt keep anything down. This was my first fill since the unfill and I was very excited about it until I got it LOL. I was afraid there was something wrong with me, sorry you are having problems, but I am so glad that I am not the only one going through this!!
  3. Going in the morning to be banded!!! The hospital called to let me know to be there at 9:45! So excited, and ready to make this permanent change to a new, healthy me! I have been on a clear liquid diet since the 25, and it has been hard, but I know that it is all worth it in the end!!! Good luck to everyone this week! Keep in touch!
  4. Bandcamp, Yes, and absolutely nothing is more frustrating!! People just dont understand what a struggle it is to keep weight off. I have lost the same probably 75 pounds several times in my life LOL....keeping it off is the problem I also get, "when you lose weight you arent going to like me anymore, or you will find new people to be around" my reply to them is, "I will still be the same person inside, I am just doing this so I will like me" people are so dang frustrating sometimes LOL Havent told a lot of people because I dont want to have to hear their negativity. And I dont plan on telling them, just going to say I lost my weight through diet and exercise
  5. Dr. Minkin will be performing my surgery on 12/28. I was very pleased by his professionalism. I think he is a very good choice. I have to drive 3 hours one way to see him, and wouldnt change doctors for anything!
  6. I am having my surgery on 12/28! I am so excited, nervous, worried, so many different emotions!! Ready to start my journey to a new, HEALTHIER me! Nervous that it wont work for me...worried I will have problems with the band..just trying to stay positive! I have worked so hard for this, fighting the insurance companies, I am just ready to be on the other side of surgery I only have to do a 3 day liquid diet pre-op..but have lost 45 pounds since I have started this journey!
  7. I am nervous also, but I have been working on this since early March, so I feel prepared. I had to do a 6 month physician supervised diet for my insurance, and since I have finshed that its been one thing after another for them. But I finally got approved, thats all that matters!! Congratulations! I wish you the best of luck!
