  1. @ honk i think ur right. / back to full liquids. I spoke to my doc today and he said its ok to be on mushies but I think full liquids is what I may need. Thanks.
  2. My question is when we eat and I am on mushies. How long does the food sit in the top portion of the stomach before it passes through the band? I am wondering if this is why I am feeling like something is stuck in my throat. I think I am eating too fast. I have no fills. Banded 4/13 and never vomited. Thanks
  3. My queston is what would cause me to feel like something is stuck in my throat. Banded 4/13 never vomited. No fill. Thanks
  4. Hey guys I woke to a feeling of something in my throat. Its been like this all day, i am on mushies, banded 4/13/11, everything goes down, never threw up. Let me know if anyone has had this and if so let me know what caused it. I feel some heartburn but didnt wake up with heartburn. Thanks
  5. What is the scoop on maalox and lap band.
  6. Thanks cocoabean. No I am not diabetic but the ketosis makes sense now that I think about it.
  7. I will check with my doctor...for those of us who bleach out teeth but drink tea and coffee now due to the band what should we do..what I mean is if you drink a warm beverage in the am to loosen your band what can we do to prevent teeth discoloration, beside bleach more frequently. Straws prevent the teas and coffee from discoloring your teeth. I guess warm water and lemon, ugh!
  8. Good luck. It will work out just u wait and see.
  9. Anyone had this or am i imagining things. Also i have increased port sensitivity today. Thanks
  10. Gave me heartburn. I no longer use it.
  11. I have lost about 10 pounds since banding. Does the port hurt more as you loose weight? Are some days more tender in the port area then others? What is normal with the port area?
  12. I had this also. Real bad, so I know how u feel. I took maalox advanced and it didn't move it any faster but it eleviated the pain. The gas x strips and tabs didn't work for me. Good luck..
  13. Hey I was banded 4/13. How does your port feel. I am starting to think about fills and wondering how the doctor knows where to inject the skin. Yes I have little energy but I am on mushies for 4 weeks. I only had to do liquids for 2 days. My port is tender to the touch and if I bend over. I wonder when this goes away. Take care
  14. Should I have any concerns about having dental work and being banded. Crown work, wisdom teeth pulled and bleaching. Thanks
  15. Yes, the fill helps with hunger.
  16. Sounds like gas. I had this it will go away. I was banded 4/13.
  17. Can you guys explain what causes slippage.
  18. Is it caffeine for 3 months or forever. Is it carbonation for as long as u r banded. Avoiding it is the question. Thanks
  19. Hey guys we are looking for gynecologist that have an understanding of the lap band and how it may affect our system. Pap smears, birth control, meds., etc.
