Well I'm still at that #^*&@#$ :heh: Plato its been 2 weeks now ! I think I'm losing inches witch is good..I have been having a shake for breakfast and dinner and some real food for lunch about a half cup or less . Tomorrow is my first fill Yaaaa!!:clap2: maybe this will jump start me..

Welcome Conman !!:clap2: First off, how did you get your first fill at only 3weeks out?? :omg: The soonest that I ever heard of is 6week or longer, that's what the Dr.s recommend for you to heal up after the band surgery..I had my surgery 1/31/07 and my first fill is going to be next Tue. right about 6week out. If your having PB / golf ball :woot: as they call it , you not chewing your food enough before you swallow it. It also sounds like you might be putting a little to much food in your mouth at a time...We all have to learn to take smaller bites and chew chew chew....(I'm still learning this too) its no fun to PB.. Where did you get you banding done at??

Hey Jonathan, I started at a size 48 and now 46-44 on some, but I'm really just starting, only about a month out ...It will be nice to go to any store to buy pants....

Hey RowdyReptile, This is just my opinion:rolleyes: , but it sounds like you friend has the write idea, just say your doing it for good heath. There is no imbursement in telling some people about the band, after all it is for your health, that you loseing weight. You will still be able to party with them but just not as much on the food or drink..:hungry:

I weighed my self today, and what a big disappointment.:myscared: I did not lose a thing,:faint: but on the good side, I didn't gain..:nervous come on fill date...

TJ Mexico : Dr.Kuri, he is one of the best $8,500 free fills for life if you go back to him. But he can arrange other Doc to do fill at a cost in the US.

Jabell76 : you don't need a passport yet, you just need ID like your drivers licence for getting back to the US ,not for going to Mexico.

Hey Bigtime : I was self pay, but the my Dr. and his staff are the best..The staff at the hospital was great too.The hospital where I went was new, modern, clean and close to some great before surgery food and drink (Mexican food):hungry: . Whether you have your surgery done here or not, just remember that they have been doing Lap-band Surgery longer in other country's than here in the USA.. Dr. Kuri has done thousands of lap-band surgery's over the years, and he is well known for his work in Mexico and his seminars here in the US.

Hey Cascadian, I think we do , but some times they whip our buts..:eek: My wife has a hard time gust losing a few pounds now and then.( you know the drill..Do I Look Fat ? :clap2: DR. KURI IS THE BEST !:clap2: Don't give it a second thought about going to Mexico or seeing Dr.Kuri..As you probably know he is one of the best Dr's around Mexico or the USA doing Lap band!! I had my surgery 1/31/07 and had no probs. All the staff is very professional along with the Dr's.... If I had it to do all over again I would do it the same way, with only one change. I would not go to the hotel they sent us to. Palacio Azteca hotel was clean and pretty nice, but the bed was as hard as a rock we did not sleep good at all,we got about 3 hrs of sleep.:phanvan (bed is not good for people just having surgery ) So just find out what hotel it is before you go and ask for a different hotel with softer beds. GOOD LUCK TO YOU !! Oh ya try the Mexican restaurant across the street from the hospital next to TGIF it will be the best Mexican food you probably have had, and the margaritas are fantastic ( We had 2 each)and try the chocolate coffee too..:hungry:

Just got mine yesterday, and put together and used it today with no pain ( well only in the legs LOL)

Well my day has come, Today I stop mushies, and start REAL FOOD .:hungry: But alas I'll be good..:faint: I think I'll start the day off with 1 real egg, and go from there for the rest of the day ..:nervous 14 days till 1st fill...
