You know early on I asked my Dr the following... What percentage of people who fail are self pay vs insurance paid. I thought for sure he would say ... hands down insurance paid people... my thinking was obvious in that if you shelled out the cash you would be more committed.
He said... you know I dont know but it would be interesting to find out. On my next visit... he said he had the office manager do a sampling and they found that it was pretty split.... which surprised me but he said its about committment. ANd somepopel have it and some poeple do not. He said his heart ache when he sees someone failing because he knows they just arent putting in the effort... no matter what they tell him unless of course there is a medical reasoning to back it up.
I guess like with anything else... there are those who want and do and those who want to talk about it....and do not want to do

I believe most people aren't malicious when they ask.... but they just don't think it through so the don't realize there might be a back side to the story. Thanks for sharing...it's a good reminder that there may be more to a situation then we know and we should always tread with caution when asking personal questions

So sorry. Now I am glad my doc insisted on drains. They were a pain in the butt and I hated them, but at least avoided this complication. Keep you positive attitude and this too will pass.

I'm so sorry, I went through very similar years ago after another abdominal surgery. Hang in there, it does get better! ((hugs))

Sounds like you have a great attitude through all of this! I hope this resolves itself soon!! Glad you are still rocking that new tummy and boobs!

I am sure they can...it's just a pain.... But on a side note my tummy is still flat and my boobs look like they were photoshopped....LOL

Sorry you're having problems. Hopefully they can get you squared away and healed .

lol, Funny you said this. I got two e-mails from banders who had their surgery the same day as mine and they see my weight loss and they PM me asking me how I am losing so much more weight then them, etc....I answered both in detail and not one replied back. I was like hmmmmm too!!!
I agree with Maddy, people don't always like what we say. For example, last night in chat I thought someone was rude by saying to me "I don't really want to hear it from a newbie" well this newbie (me) is doing really well and if my positivity is upsetting you because I am a newbie, then don't post in chat room and ask people's opinions if you don't want to hear it. I didn't respond to them in chat, I just took the high road and ignored the comment. I wanted to comment, but I could see this person is really struggling and I didn't want to add to her negativity.
Susan you and many others are a huge inspiration to us and I for one appreciate your feedback, PM replies and your posts SO KEEP THEM COMING, lol.
On a side note, I am definitely going to look you up while I am visiting my friends and family in Tampa and take you to a CrossFit class!!

I have learned a lot from you and others on this site. Thank you all. I try to help others with my journey even though it is shorter than yours. Each of us have learned through our own progress and failures. Tonight I was full and wanted something but had nothing because I don't want to fail.

Well Floridays if I ever PM you (and I am sure I will sooner or later) and don't respond back to your answer I am sorry. I am on here daily and generally the first thing I do is look for you and a few others posts. I don't even know you all and you have helped me so much. I feel I should be sending you a thank you daily just for your posts. your answers, comments and blogs are usually spot on and full of common sense. I have surgery two weeks from today. yay I look forward to using you and others as my inspiration, motivation and knowledge as I take this journey. Thank you thank you thank you.

Their loss, not yours. Good on you for putting yourself out there for people. At the very least, each time you tell your story to someone else, you are reminding and reinforcing to yourself just what has worked so well for you and that has got to make it easier to keep on doing what works!

Do you know this was the first year my husband asked and I actually gave him my sizes.... In previous years he'd say... I dont know your size but never asked me for it.... LOL
I agree with you on the clothes issue... why heavier people shove themselves into small clothing or styles not appropriate for their figure is beyond me. I didnt do it when I was fat and I am not going to do it now... I am 52 for god sakes... I do not need to be wearing a short skirt... just because I can. LOL
