How Soon After Surgery Did You Return To The Gym?
Returning to the gym would indicate that I have ever stepped foot in one.... Which at 377 lbs I had not. I was allowed to walk right away but told not to do anything more strenuous until my 2 month post op visit.

How Many Calories Do You Take In A Day
In my losing stage I ate 1000 calories each day after clearing it with the dr. I have 11 more lbs to take off my I am doin g it in the maintainience stage so i eat about 1500 calories now... But I have trouble eating all that. I expect when I get those 11 lbs off I may need a slight unfill... Not sure how that works.

How Long Did It Take You?
I was a self pay after being denied In Record time.... . The appeal was denied also in one day. I had my appointment the first of October and was ready for preop after completing the NUT visit, lab work, cardiac dr and psych dr visits with in a month. We had some time away and other things planned so I started my preop diet the day before thanksgiving, had surgery dec 9 and ate my first solids on new years day.

How Do You Continue To Lose After Liquids?
You will lose when you burn more calories than you take in no matter if it is liquids or solids. I ate 1000 calories each day during my losing stage and I lost no matter which form I took it in by. On liquids in the begininning it tends to come off more quickly so do not let that discourage you. But you should be able to lose an average of 2 lbs per week when moving to solids. Congrats on being down 30 lbs!

Can You Eat Steak??
I love steak.... and sometimes my band loves steak. Other times it doesnt. That said...I wish there was a way to know... but since there isnt, I play it safe and always get a high quality beef of the most tender cut like filet or tenderloin. Sometimes a rib eye or prime rib is ok too. Then I just hope for the best.

Have Trouble Sometimes
Oh yes... I am almost 2 years post op and some days I have trouble getting in all my food and other days I have no problems. One day I can eat chicken and the next day it wants to come back up. Same with several other things as well. My band is very finicky.

In Desperate Need Of Help, Support And Maybe A Smack On The Cheek
If it were me I would follow the advice above and I would call my Dr right away and get in to see him. In the meantime I would start counting calories and tracking my food on a phone ap. I would make sure my next meal and every meal after that consisted of the following 3 oz protien 1/2 c veggies 1/4 starch / carbs I would be strict with myself and no cheat... even a little until I saw dramatic results. I would ask myself...why do I want to stay fat when I have a tool to get thin? But most importantly I would do this for myself...not because my mother or someone else would be disappointed in me. Best wishes as you get your head back in the game.

Help !
have you had a fill? Are you measuring your portions? Until you have fill restriction it's a hard time. If so then find something else to do instead of eat.... Doing something with your hands is a good start.... I have a friend who knits. She says it keeps her from eating because she doesn't want to get the yarn dirty. I
