We are in a learning phase in the beginning, how to make good choices, what foods and how much are good. You can do this! Does your surgeon have a support group so you can get support from people other than your family?

    Issues still...

I had the same problem four months out ended up I wasnot chewing food good enough. So it would get stuck in my chest and I’d end up puking every-time. Take smaller bites and chew more. And for the vitamins I would always get sick when taking them. The only ones that sit well are the fast dissolving bariatricpal ones on here I use the prenatal ones.

    Soft food stage

I start soft foods soon as well. Pureed meats are nasty. There is no other way of going about it. Pureed foods have not been my friend due to texture issues. 🤢 I will be so glad to eat meat and other protein foods and not get a sick feeling while it's in my mouth. I can chew, chew, chew and be ok. Lol. Looking forward to being able to eat with my family again. Good luck. Sent from my moto g(7) supra using BariatricPal mobile app

What did the dr say? At this point out you shouldn't have such a hard time keeping things down. Unless you are taking too much at a time Sent from my SM-G950U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Weight tracking-preop

Good habit to start getting into more, before surgery. It will also help to start seeing the different macronutrients and calories the different foods you eat have so you can adjust your choices as needed. You've got this!

    Regain

I never thought I'd let myself get to goal (120) and then regain. But like so many others before me I know what I have to do to get back on track. As of now I am 170. 2 years out last month. January last year I was 125lbs and loving life. It has been an incredibly rough year, but I can't let that be an excuse. I'm no expert, but that's pretty significant regain I had the surgery for my health and now I'm getting back to where I was at the beginning at an astonishing rate. My food choices are terrible, I put alcohol and soda back in my "diet" and I went back to snacking. Ugh! Anyone else in a similar boat? What has helped you besides getting back to the basics? Is there anything in particular that has helped you the most with losing the regain? Any support and encouragement is welcome--I've been pretty down on myself lately. But I know I can get back to at least a healthy weight. This time I'll probably aim for 130-135. I came back here since this community was so incredibly supportive to me early post op. And for that I thank you all!
