    An Uncomfortable Question

Sex is sooooo much better when I'm thinner. And even with looser skin, I am waaaay hotter than when I was obese. And not just because I am thinner, but because I am more CONFIDENT and sure of myself, and the weight loss was a big part in re-cultivating that. You are really worried about how you will feel/look after weight loss (I notice this is your second post on the topic ♥️). But are you happy with your situation right now? I'm guessing that you aren't since you are moving forward with the surgery. Change is scary. But if you put in the effort, it will totally be worth it. 100%. ♥️

Regardless of how much you CAN eat, don't do it, just eat 1/4 to 1/2 cup.

***UPDATE ON NAILS*** It’s been a little over a month and my nails are doing ssooooo much better! Still not at 100% perfect maybe 90% better, but they are definitely growing again. Not long movie star nails, but out a few millimeters past the finger tip and no longer sore and ripping and tearing! I eat or drink sugar free jello every day for the gelatin that’s supposed to help nails. I have the collagen peptides in smoothies 5 times a week. And I also take the hair, skin, and nails vitamin every day now. Between the 3 it has fixed my nails and less hair is falling out now too. The biotin vitamin I was taking since after surgery was worthless in my opinion.

    VITAMINS AFTER GASTRIC SLEEVE?????

Sometime in the first week after I got back home. Your weakness and lethargy is unlikely due to vitamins, but just a hangover from the surgery as you go through the initial healing, and quite possibly a result of your current diet being very low in carbohydrates (intentional or not) which is what helps keep our short term energy levels up.

The next day, chewable only, and after one month I can start the pill form if so desire. I am going to switch to pill because I do not like the taste of the chewable.

    Medicare Denial Frustration

Hi All, I just got my “welcome to the bariatric dept” letter and a denial letter on the same day. The denial said I don’t have a history of failed diets. My GP noted my failures specifically in my chart though. I’ve done so many diets, and Weight Watchers more times than I can count. I remember being on WW in my teens. My first prescription diet was early elementary school for G-d sake! Now I have to jump through appeal hoops. I have Kaiser (Oregon) via Medicare (I’m disabled). Any tips and encouragement is welcome!
