5k Run! 6 months post op!

I am also using a Couch to 5K Active App. Friday I completed week 5 day 3 and it was a 5 min warm up, 20 min jog, and 5 Min cool down. That is the longest I have jogged since high school. Today I start Week 6 and hope to be ready for my local Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning which I signed up for. My goal is to be able to jog the whole thing under 45 minutes. These posts are inspiring and led me to take this on.

    Non scale victory

The dreaded three week stall. Just stick to your plan. My three week stall lasted a frustrating three weeks, but many only stall for a few days to a week. It’s completely normal and you are doing the right thing by focusing on inches! πŸ˜€

    GB Surgery in December!

Everybody and their surgeon is different. Both surgeries I was given Simethicone(Gas X) in the hospital with my daily meds and PRN. Along with the gas X I bought myself & walking my pain was manageable. I would see what the surgeon recommend and go from there. ScorpioC_RnY

    Livershrink diet

I lost 15 pounds on my liver-shrink, did it the entire month of August, knew my surgeon found NASH when he examined me in mid-July so I commuted myself to shrink it down. For each week you liver shrink it decreases 2.4% in size so mine decreased between 12 and 15%, and it made it easier for Dr Needleman and less pain for me post-surgery. And I was very proud of ME that I could do it. And you will have your own Pride Moments on your journey, remember not to always judge yours by others, we each make our own kind of 🎢 in weight loss, and it is the Right Song for Each of Us!πŸ‘ˆπŸ˜›πŸ‘‰

I would say I think I'm one of the few that did not / has not experienced "buyers remorse." But, I can also say for myself (and truly me alone), I did all the research I could possibly do. And I don't buy / do things without doing my due diligence. Even my impulse buys are based off detailed research. When I made the final decision to go through with the surgery, I was ready and ready "now." 10 weeks later, super slow progress (IMO), several stalls... I still have no regrets or buyers remorse.

5k Run! 6 months post op!

The Halloween Zombie run sounds like a lot of fun! Congrats on all your accomplishments! I'm hoping I can get back into running 5ks once I lose more weight.

    Forced malabsorption

Tested it out again and it think it is more malabsorption than laxative effect (TMI- texture, smell, etc.)

    Forced malabsorption

For me it creates a laxative effect in high amounts, for you it may be another food Sent from my Coolpad 3622A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Forced malabsorption

Reviving this thread. As much as I like to believe I can eat meat (poultry) as much as I want, I can't. I have to force it out or it tries to sit inside me like forever. Anyone else?
