    Down 3 Sizes!

Hi guys and gals, This is insane! I started my journey at 287, a size 24 pant (that were a little on the tight side.) I had surgery on May 14th at 260. Today, just shy of 4 weeks out I weighed in at 239 (finally broke that damn stall). Anyways my clothes have literally been FALLING off me. I was just fine until about a week ago. So I went shopping today and grabbed some size 22s. Too big. So I grabbed some 20s. Still too big. So in total awe I grabbed some size 18s and holy mackerel they FIT. I almost died. And I tried on a shirt that was size 14/16 and it fit! I am on cloud 9 right now 😍. Hope all my fellow May surgery buddies are doing well!

    Liver Shrinking Diet

I did the carb restricted liver shrink protein shake diet from hell for two weeks. I still maintain...it was the HARDEST part of this whole process. (for me, anyway) Tips: If you have to drive anywhere, drink your shake ten minutes before you drive. I was lightheaded and had crappy reaction time. Loading the calories right before driving helped me stay alert on the road. Here's the exciting part....you are in the home stretch. You are huffing up that mountain...and then you'll have the climax...the day of surgery! And it's all down hill from there. Post op diet is tough, too...but you get to add things and each day gets better. Take this a day at a time...and stay the course. You can do it!

    Thank me later

Yes I guess it would but pull it up on. Google Play and look over what portions of your phone systems it wants access to! I considered it until then, the originator asked everything except permission to county,i freckles on your backside and he expects you to make multiple purchases starting at $4 and going up, sounds suspiciously like a malware purveyor to me! 👎

I know right? who would have thought fruit could be a problem but it was. I have lost 7.7 pounds this week as of today! They moved me to berries and green apples only and that did the trick.

Every time I stall, I have to cut the fruit. Its grueling, but necessary. It always solves the problem.

    Modesty question

I'm much more open with my skin. I know I'm still "a fatty" but, I'm way less a fatty than I was and it bothers me SO MUCH less now. Like, going to the gym and changing in the locker room. Normally I'd be SUPER QUICK to get a shirt on during changing... now, I don't rush it. Sure those super buff dudes walking in are going to be like.. damn that dudes fat. But, it no longer bothers me. The way I figure it out. You don't judge a statue by the size of the block of stone, you wait until it's finished before you judge. I'm part way through my own personal re-sculpting, and I give myself a TON of slack for it.

    Leak

I had surgery back in September... day after I got back, I had excruciating pain radiating up my left shoulder and I could barely breathe. Messaged my surgeon and asked if I should be feeling like this (duh!) and he said no. Ended up in the ER having my stomach looked at, washed out, drain put in and then a stent. I was in hospital for 2 months and had several operations for stent placements, that ultimately didn't work. Had to go and have one put in that required being stitched in to place. That one ended up coming loose and I still had the leak. Had it stitched again and that did the trick. Stent is out now, leak has healed (I hope it stays that way!). Anyway - I'm out of hospital now. Trying to get my life back in order. Still dealing with some pain, and some mental trauma. My mother had to fly out from England to take care of me whilst in hospital and to take care of my child who has autism. Nightmare. We have massive bills... airline, hospital, etc. My surgeon was amazing though and I love him. He stood by me the whole way. Anyway, I just wanted to put myself on this board so that I can help other people if they go through the same thing, or if any of you have questions. One of the scariest things about the leak is the unknown.
