    Hi I’m new!

Hi I’m new to this app! I had gastric sleeve on 1/03/2018. I have lost 22lbs since starting this journey. Two weeks before the surgery to now that’s how much I’ve lost! I am so happy!! I don’t see a change in how I look weight wise but I know my husband can see it. Anyways just wanted to say Hi and I’m in Connecticut

I’m definitely shy about my (almost) 55 lb loss. I only told my bff, hubby/daughter/mom and the friend that had the #vsg before me. So when anyone asks how I’ve “lost so much” or “what I’m doing” I simply thank them and if they pressure for an answer I say “I eat waaaaay less now” ;). I’m never in the mood to justify my decision to anyone, and the people that think this surgery was the “easy way out” don’t deserve my explanation anyway HAHA

Weight loss changes people. Both me and my ex had weight issues. She had WLS in 2012 and lost over 350 pounds (that's not a typo). In 2014 and 2015 she had multiple reconstructive procedures (including the removal of 22 pounds of skin from her abdomen alone). I sold my house to pay for this. Once she had her new body she promptly lost interest in me and quickly found a new guy. I was devastated. I'm now rebuilding my life. Having WLS myself is part of the rebuilding plan.

    Protein????

My surgeon gave out a small handbook on post OP diet and most helpful thing in it was a recipe for high protein hot chocolate. Using protein powder make a smooth paste with cold water add chocolate packet and stur it into the paste, lastly add hot but not boiling water to the mix and viola! I was able to make mine 20 grams of protein in 10 oz. Also premier caramel shake added to decaffeinated coffee as creamer is luxurious...

Surgery was 12/19, I’m on my last week of full liquids. Today for lunch I had 2 oz of healthy request cream of mushroom soup and 2 oz of Amy’s organic low sodium tomato bisque. Can’t wait to start soft foods this upcoming Sunday 🙌🏼

I own it. Doll myself up at work. Walk down the hallways like it's a runway and when ppl compliment how good I look or say wow you have lost so much weight. I say THANK YOU! I've lost 51lbs. I'm awesome right?! lol I just own it. I am more confident and proud of how much i've lost and how i'm looking these days! Obviously, everyone is different and others are shy or uncomfortable because we've hid from everyone and ourselves for so long in our old bodies. But now is the time to practice self love and own that you look great! xo

Sorry to hear this, sounds like you've been to hell and back. Could you see a different therapist? You might find someone who you 'gel' with better and get better results. Good luck.
