    lingering cough

I too had a lingering cough from bronchitis for months. Eventually, We thought it was maybe reflux related, but turns out it was due to the blood pressure meds my Dr put me on. All of a sudden one day, I remembered her telling me that 10% of people develop a cough. Once I started another BP medication, the cough stopped. Are you on BP meds? lingering cough

There is a tea called throat coat that may help. I use it for cough and sore throat too. It has an herb called slippery elm in it that coats and it tastes like licorice. Good luck with your surgery.

Great tip! Using a smaller fork makes you take smaller bites. Eating with chopsticks when possible also limits how much we put in our mouths at a time too. Good stuff!

    Jan 2017 sleevers check in

I have been on a 2 month stall. It is a little frustrating but I know it is my body trying to catch up with itself. I am down 85lbs so far since surgery. Only complaint is my hair loss that has not stopped. I am going on 3 months of hair loss. Really bummed. Sleeved 1/17/17 HW 267 SW 255 CW 170

    Feeling Dizzy

Call your doctor, check your blood pressure and glucose. Eat some carbs! Just a little. I was dizzy and dragging ass until I got my carbs up to around 50.

    New to wls

G'day from the east coast of Australia. I joined yesterday and have spent much of the last 16-17 hours familiarising myself with the site and its forums. Tomorrow my time, Monday 4th Sept at NOON, I meet with my surgeon to finalise my gastric sleeve surgery date. (It's Sunday 3rd Sept 2:30pm now, the afternoon of Fathers' Day here. Waiting with bated breath for this exciting 'path to the better future' for me. Regards, Rainbow_Warrior

Welcome! My suggestion is to read, read, read on this site--there's such an amazing amount of information and discussions of just about everything. Take a look at the before/after pictures (there are threads of them) for encouragement. And feel free to ask any question that occurs to you! Good luck.
