I started my surgery at 220 and I'm now at 173. My weightloss has slowed down dramatically this last month. It could be due to my workout routine which tends to incorporate a lot of weights. Most of my body pains are gone and I couldn't be happier. Feet pain, hip pain, leg pain, headaches... my #1 reason for the surgery. My hair loss is also pretty ugly right now. Thin hair runs in the family so I've already been dealing with some balding; I was hoping it wouldn't get worse but oh well. I can definitely eat more in one sitting and eat more variety. Some days I find myself slipping back into the pattern of eating out of boredom. Everyday is a bit of a challenge and that's OK. Before surgery I didn't see myself as a food addict but now I really do recognize that I am addicted to food.

Try not to let the emotions get the best of you. I am in Colorado, flying home to Orlando tomorrow with nothing left in the stores to stick up on. I'm praying the track moves more easterly out to the Atlantic as it moves up Florida Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    RNY SURGERY

I really think it is a learning curve for sure. My taste and smell changed so much. The drinks I liked (kind of LOL) Preop I hated afterwards. I only wish I had found the un-favored GENEPRO. I love it but I wouldn't tel anyone else to use it. Always check with you tam. here are some people on here that don't like it. But for myself it is the one that doesn't have a after taste BTW Welcome you wil get a ton of informatin on here. Just take what you need and leave the rest. Congratulations on starting your amazing journey.

10 days out! Don't like preop diet

No one knows what you should do but you, but there is no shame or harm in asking your surgeon to postpone things for a few months while you work on the last 20#s, right?

    Finally broke my stall!

I don't care what caused it, as long as it's happening haha! And I'm not hungrier than I would be if I was having my hard boiled egg for breakfast so that's good. But seriously, I was reading a lot about it and the water is the magical helper to weightloss. It's just so hard to drink so much!

I feel for you, I had similar issues. Once the lapband fails, that's it! Believe me, BTDT. I had my band removed and revised to gastric bypass. Big difference and I would do again in a heartbeat. My practice won't even do bands anymore as they have proven to fail more often than not long term. I feared bypass more than I can say, but for me it has been the true key....no more being a slave to hunger! One thing I can say is that weight loss may be slower after having another weight loss surgery. Still, I am 63 years old and unless I'm losing, I'm gaining so this is good! Have no fear, just do it.
