    PreOp Shakes/sucralose

Just go with whatever tastes the best. Pre-op is hard enough, might as well get a shake you like (if there is such a thing!). Don't stock up for post-op though -- there's a good chance your tastes will change.

    Best pre-op protein shakes

Here's what I'm using for shakes. This makes two 16oz Protein Shakes with around 200 cal 30 g of Protein and 15 g or less carbs. Add ice or Water until just over 32oz & blend. Two scoops of each powder, & 2 cups of most fruit blends keep you in the right range for carbs. Check first so you don't go over. Garden Of Life also has many nutients & 50 fruit and vegetable super foods. Drink one & save one for later.

    Will I feel normal again?

The key for me has been to re-define my relationship with food where it isn't the centerpiece of my life. I still go out with friends and family; I just don't eat, or I eat a small piece of protein and green vegetables. For me bread, pasta, potatoes, and other carbs are off the table forever. No food or drink is more important than the 200 pounds I have lost. My new lease on life is worth it!

    Coccyx

I just had an injection around my coccyx. It worked for s couple days. The thought of removing it is not as foreign now as a month ago, but first I'll try another injection. A pain management doctor administers the injection in a clinic. Wasn't very comfortable but not as painful as anticipated. Hurt more later just from soreness. But if it fixed it, because everyone is different, totally worth it. I found the knee pillow became more comfortable the more weight I lost. I think it's just a thing to get used to.
