    Exercise before surgery

Checking to see if you/anyone started an exercise or walking regimen before surgery. If so when did you start and what did you do?

    Am I broken?

I'm the exact same way. It does get a little better when you are eating solids because they will fill you up faster. I didn't ever feel "full" or "stuck" though until one day like 5-6 weeks out when I was eating too fast. Then I quickly realized I really did have restriction! I agree with the protein first because it really does help. I just keep telling myself that this is better than the alternative of getting sick with everything I eat... and I am losing weight just fine.

It's a bad thing that I do. And usually I can catch myself, but I literally catch myself judging and I literally had surgery a little over a month ago and am nowhere near where I'd like to be. I don't even think I'm like thinking of them as a fat person, just someone whom truly can't control themselves

    Is this normal?

I agree with Jesm. A cup of food is for maintenance. You are doing just fine at 1/2 cup (and from the sounds of it, you might want to do a couple spoonfuls less than that).

    Holy Hair Loss Batman!!

Make sure you are getting enough protein and water/fluid intake. Not getting enough of either one of these can contribute to hair loss. I'm not saying the shampoos aren't a good thing but make sure you're getting your nutrients as well.

    Alcohol

Do NOT drink until at least 9 weeks out. It would probably be best to wait 3-6 months or more. Type.. is whatever doesn't make you deathly ill. Keep in mind that 1 drink post surgery equals 2-3 drinks before. People have died from relatively low consumption, and plenty of patients end up transferring addictions and become alcoholics. Please be extra careful.
