Hello- I was wondering what the average weight loss has been for anyone else that was banded in September '06? I was banded September 15, 2006 and was my Dr's first lap-band. Because of that, I have not had much support from his practice, as there are no previous patients to compare me to. I feel like my weight gain is too slow. :think I started at 282 pre-op and am now down to 235 and it has been 10 months. I now have 8.5 in a VG band. I had my most recent fill about 2 weeks ago. I had Thyroid Cancer 10 years ago and had my thyroid removed totally, so I am on synthroid replacement to help keep my metabolism working. Here is my daily meal schedule: I have …

It is only 8:43 in the morning and I am already discussed! Since I have made the decision to get banded everyone seems to be an expert on weight loss and band failures. My father started by saying that I dont need surgery I just need to push myself away from the table. Great advice from someone who has never had a weight problem. My husband's Aunt, who is like a mother to me since my mother passed away, says she knows someone who had it done and hasn't lost hardly anything. The last few times I've come to LBT, I've had to log in. I always click the "remember me" box, but it doesn't work for some reason.

I have posted pics alot of times in the past but today if I try to upload a jpg file it tells me it is an invaled jpg file, I even tried the same pics I've posted before and it is doing the same thing, has something changed that doesn't allow me to upload my photo's. They are way under the size limit too. Please help...

Is anyone else having trouble getting LBT pages to load? This started for me about 2 or 3 weeks ago and was just once and a while. Now it seems like everytime I click on a thread, I get the header and nothing else. The status bar says DONE and Refresh doesn't help. Generally, the only solution is to close out my LBT tab and come back in. I am using DSL with Windows Vista and IE7, and am having absolutely no other problems with any other site. I've also cleaned my cache to see if that would help, but still no better. Also, I have noticed that after I have done a search, looked at what I was searching for, and click back, I get back to the search results as expected, b…

First off, this forum is absolutely awesome. I am so glad that I found it! I would love to make a suggestion to have instead of one long ongoing monthly thread that we can have monthly subforums instead. It is so hard to keep up and support the other members in my monthly group because we are so active (50 posts plus a day in one thread with many different discussions). This way we can all support each other more because we will be able to read everyones concerns and comments. Thank you for the consideration!

I think I need a fill. What should I expect?

I can't find my threads. Now the email is directing me to pages where my threads aren't listed. I don't understand why it had to be changed. I liked the way my email directed me to the threads I participate in. Now I can't find them.

Is there any way we can bring back the full listing of page numbers for the individual threads? It's a little irritating to have to go weed through several pages to find the one you were last on, since the highest options available are "10" and "last page". Especially when there are dozens of pages and several pages have been added since the last time the thread was read.

Ok, we've been listening to all your issues with the new skin and we've decided that one skin can't make everyone happy. We've created six skins to address all issues that were brought up in this thread. What is the reason that I cant stay logged in? I log in two or three times each session because I get logged out somehow. I will log in, see my name at the bottom of the page where it list the users, try to post and when I hit the reply button, I get a Vbullitin. I will sometimes reply to some ones post and again lose the post because it asks me to refresh my page, log in and continue. Its very frustrating. What is going on? Does anyone else experience this? Does it have something to do with the cookies etc? Any feedback will be helpful.. Thx:help:

The website seems to be loading at a snail's pace, which is odd since I have cable internet. It's not constant, though, just occasional. But when it does slow down, it's SLOW.

What are these things? Are they new? Do they have a particular function?

Hello, I love lapbandtalk. I look forward to checking my email and being able to keep up with the threads I have recently posted on. However, lately, when I click on where it tells me to, it brings me to a page that is an error message or says this page has been moved. I have to find my threads through the search method. Hi, my wife and I read the forum. I am able to access the site from my work computer, but in the last week or so we have not been able to access the site from our home, where we connect to the internet via a different ISP. Is there an address where I can write to from my work computer to get assistance? I know the IP and ASN addresses for the server that we use at home -- maybe a block has been put on from the LBT forum's server's side.

Has LBT gone a little wacky for anyone else? There was a while last night where all I could get was a message saying that a file is corrupt. Ever since then, I have been getting 404 errors when I click on some threads.

I'm getting lots of error messages. The new posts page isn't there, and I got an error when I tried to send a PM.

Is anyone else seeing this, or am I just special? The reserved ad spots on the left have little spray-painted numbers on them. And they change every time I refresh!

Is is just me or does anyone else find the log in at the bottom of the web page to be misplaced? It was much better having it where it was in the top corner. Can we go back to the way it was?

Hi all, Just wondering how many out there have had the band for 2 to 3 years with no problems. It seems that most problems occur within the first 2 years. If you haven't had any problems like slippage or erosion, what is your secret to success? I know, things happen, but thought I'd ask to see how many were out there on this site. You want an easier way to view a thread on LBT? No problem at all.... In every forum section, there are THREADS. Threads contain the information from the creator. Just click the [ + ] sign, and voila! Clicking the [ + ] will expand the first post of the thread. Enjoy!

I can get the quick links button to work in any forum, but not on the main page. Anyone know why that might be?

hey guys, I would like to change my user name and cant. When I go to "User CP" and click to edit password and user name, it doesnt give me option. I am only givin the option to change my email and password. Thanks for the help.

I am trying to update my signiture but it says it is longer than 10 lines! I have tried shortening it, it does not work. I see people with much longer sig's than mine. I cant get it to update my new weights or anything, although the ticker updates. I am not sure I like the new forum--seems like too many issues! Jill

OK so we can vote on each other posts and that affects the number we see. What do the numbers mean exactly? How do we know if someone made a comment when voting on one of our posts, how do we find it? How many votes to a point? Did we all start out at one automatically? Is anyone else having trouble with the Search command at the top of the home page? The little drop down arrow doesn't seem to work, nor does clicking on the word Search. Searching within a thread or forum seems to be working fine; it's just this Site Search that seems to be dead!

I will have to say, while I understand why you put adds on the forum, I will have to say that I am dissapointed. Mainly because of some of the ads that are appearing. I have come in several times and there is an ad for Zeta cap on the side. It doesnt work, its a crappy pill. Do you get a choice on the ads that appear?

I just tried to edit a thread and the edit box came up with every character interspersed with a smilie . I tried to correct my typo but on saving it nearly the whole post disappeared. Is this a known glitch?

Would it be possible to add the verification of a valid email address to the registration process on LBT; like an activation step? As the spam thread posters are banned after a single post surely they'd run out valid email addresses? I know someone can have multiple hotmail addresses but they are a pain to set up so I'm sure this would have an impact on the number of spam threads. Just a thought!
