Alexandra & Alex, Lately LBT has been bombarded with so many new members that it's hard to keep up. I love my band regardless of the problems I've had, but I think some of the most important posts are getting lost. May I suggest adding a new forum for "Problems with the Band" specifically for erosions, port infections, etc? New people researching the band need to know how serious this procedure can be even though most people are very happy with the product. Thanks.

Hey Gang, I've noticed something really weird with the time/date stamp behavoir. It started lastnight. Threads will show new activity when there hasn't been any new activity. The main page will show that so-and-so posted such-and-such, but when I get into the thread, that person hasn't posted. Anyone else seeing this? Firefox 1.0.2

Okay, shoot... The very FIRST forum at the top of the list under "Main Lap-Band Forums" should be "Newbie Info"!!! Name it with an underscore if you have to to make it be the #1 section in that list. I was just trying to find a sticky post that listed all the acronyms and newbie-type info that we give out so often, and I could find NO newbie-specific stickies!!! Is anyone else wondering what's going on when you click on New Posts? Right now my list is completely empty. Earlier it was loaded with stuff I haven't looked at yet. I find this happening more and more often, where I don't get a chance to read the new posts before they're gone. Has something changed? For example, I didn't even know there were new posting rules until just this second when I started this thread. Never saw it.

you know how we have each of the US states listed in the LBT Forum? How about adding one each for UK, or GB, Ireland, Scotland, Austrailia, heck, the Middle East? Seems like it would be a nice place to start for the outside the States guests...can it be done?

Writing as someone who was (for a change) not involved in (as they used to call the Civil War) the "recent unpleasantness," I have an observation, comment or whatever...or two. 1--I get a more than a little tickled when I read complaints ON THE LOUNGE PAGES or FEEDBACK PAGES, from people who say they only come to LBT for the support. It's like swearing that you just went to the magazine rack to pick up a copy of Family Circle but want to complain that Playboy has some dirty pictures in it. I am ashamed of my actions these last few days. I allowed myself to be hurt and angry. I've said harsh things that should have never been said. I have let these problems take me away from my family and friends. I know that the past can't be changed. But I can make a difference in today. I clearly say what I mean, and there is nothing to "read between the lines". Each and every one that has been affected by this, please accept my sincere apologies. Maybe I am the only one that feels this way, but I think that being able to delete the whole posts stinks!!! For example if some one starts and posts and then me and another member are chatting back and forth then our whole conversation is gone...Does this make sense? I do not know how many monitors there are offically at LBT. I would like to know. I would also like to say that I am so greatfull for all their time & energy spent taking care of this site. I propose that if any member would like we could each buy a lotto ticket for the monitors or maybe one for each & send them to a specific address. Then which ever monitor gets them could split any winnings from any of the states with the other monitors. Just a way of saying " Hey your appreciated & thanks". What does everyone think? Its a dollar well spent I think.

Okay, not the rock in my back yard...we have some Englanders and others from the far away lands where they measure weight in stone. I know I'm not the only one wondering so I googled and found out that 1 stone is 14 pounds; so when Bright complains that she's still bloody 18 stone, she's 252lbs, give or take a few. A modest suggestion: Might our wise moderators consider one thread for pictures only, and another thread where we can comment on them? I'm thinking that a pictures-only thread would be an impressive wordless testament to everyone's success with the band, and would be especially encouraging for newcomers. While it's fun to be able to write notes back and forth commenting on everyone's photos, the thread is getting pretty long, and it's only just started. Each picture generates about five messages; now that so many people have added tickers and slogans, we have to scroll through a lot to get to each set of pictures. So how about giving us a virtual slide show with photos on…

Am I the only one getting pop ups when I come here now?? This makes it very troublesome, especially if I''m on my company laptop.

I load it from my PC then it shows up on the screen as if it is there then when I say save changes, I get this error message: There has been an error in the upload. Please ensure that the file has been correctly selected and that the upload has taken place successfully. I have resized the pic so it is actually smaller than the recommended size. Any suggestions? Reflux.... Michelle, what does your book say about reflux??? I got a fill 3 weeks ago. I PB'd the 4th day after the fill and have had problems with reflux every since. Yes, Momma Leatha, I know I need to get some of this fill removed, but the hour long drive to and from the doctor is NOT fitting into the 24 hours in my day. I've been taking OTC prilosec every night... it helps. But Im still suffering from it. I thought I could just sooth things with the prilosec and in a couple of weeks things would be back to normal... Started at 242, now at 209, and can't believe how easy it is, for the most part. :knockedou There are a few things..........! Hi everyone! Well I have been at this new life of mine for a month or so now. I think I did it all wrong. I was on liquid for about 1 week and 1/2 and then soft food for 2 weeks and now I have been eating food normaly. Not the same amount but the same food. I talked to my advise person and she said I should still be on soft food. but I have no problem with regular food...did I streatch this thing out? Today I am going back to liquids... I still have restriction. I feel full on a child's plate of anything. like yesterday I had 2 chicken strips and I was done. When about an hour later I tried to eat my 3rd piece I pb I think is the term. I wasn't hungery but worried...st…

I've been getting e-mails saying that people are trying to send me private messages but my box is full. But my box isn't full. There's only two items in there. There have been many items in my box in the past with no problems. My two items are small and have no attachments. What's going on?

My mother in law and I are scheduled for banding on the 27th with Dr. Ortiz. I have arranged follow up care here in MO, however I think we may still return to TJ. The costs are about the same, but I love having someone local. He also has problems getting Dr. to treat his patients outside of the city ( even for non bad problems) My dh is going with us as well as our three toddlers (not really my favorite plan, but by far the cheapest and dh doesn't do well if I am gone to the store with all three) We have arranged for someone to help with the children there the whole time so I won't have to pick them up, (& two walk pretty well) My questiosn are: 1) anythi…

I really want to put my face up instead of the pink avatar. I used my photo software to make it 50x50 pixels, but that's not an option for my puter. I have the option of 37x50. I tried that but when I attached it, I got a message saying it was too large. Can I forward my pic to someone to put in the little square? Everytime I go to the chat room, no one is in there. Does anyone go there? Is there a certain time to go there? Am I doing something wrong? Wassup with it? Just wanted to add that I love this site, I have learned a whole lot.
