resizing photos

Hi there,

Could someone explain to me how I can resize my photos so I can post them here and not take up the entire screen. Can I use windows Paint or do I need another program to do this? I would also like to know how to make an avatar.

    I usually use GIMP. You can download it for free and then all you do if select scale image from one of the menus. Hope this helps.
