I had mine on November 12th and I'm still finding it hard to get down the 64 oz. I get between 22 and 40 a day. 40 is on a good day. I think it will get better over time. At least that is what other people keep telling me.

I'm a little over 5 weeks out and I am having a terrible time getting all of my liquids in. Before surgery I didn't drink water....just Pepsi and coffee :( I'm not craving those, but just don't have enough time in the day to drink that much. When I drink a lot of water I feel fuller than when I eat.

Hi, I had my sleeve surgery on August 6th and I was never a big water drinker prior to surgery and after surgery Im lucky if I can get 20oz in. I have a cup of coffee every morning with a hardboiled egg and the consumption of water is the hardest. I tried infusing the water, I tried the little packets of zero calories to add to the water BUT water and me just dont "mix". I hope it gets better with time because come summer, Im going to be scared of getting dehydrated and possibly admission to the hospital because of dehydration! I have also noticed that my sense of smella and taste has changed drastically. I blogged earlier and Im not the only one! Weird, very weird! Good luck on your journey toots! :)

I know! im so scared of getting dehydrated or confusing hunger with thirst! and i never had issues drinking water before, now after surgery i can drink any liquids just fine but water ugh just a sip makes me nauseous so i kinda have to push it the best ive done is a bottle of 16 oz and a half in a DAY! Thats why im so confused as to how the heck am I gonna get the 64 oz?!

Hopefully , like you say, it'll get better by summer :(

My doctor told me I could count crystal lite and other water based drinks in my 64 oz. There is no way I could drink 64 oz of plain water. yuck. Never cared much for water. I am on my second day for my liquid diet. My surgery is Dec. 5th. Excited and scared. :):(
