Length Of Stay In Hospital?

Well, today was my pre-op appointment with my surgeon, and he told me I will be in the hospital for one day. I don't know if it's just me, but most people I've been seeing on this site stayed in the hospital for maybe 2-4 days (depending on their situation). I'm a little surprised. Is one day normal?

I've seen a lot of people going home the next day. I know they do plan on keeping me 2 nights, and if all is well, I get to go home in the morning after second night.

I was in for two and a half days but I really should have stayed a third. You shouldn't let them discharge you until your pain is well controlled and you are able to keep liquids down for a full day without problems.

I was only in the hospital one night. I was a little worried to go home so soon, but once I got home, it felt great!
