Pregnant and have questions...

I am 8 weeks pregnant and have the Lap Band...I would appreciate some advice from someone that has been pregnant after having surgery..how did it go? Did you have to have fluid taken out? Did it put additional restriction on the band due to all the pressure of the baby when you were further along? I want to do what is best and let my baby get all the things he/she needs..so if you could email me or get with me on my page.. I would greatly appreciate it! Hope to hear from someone soon... Thank you!

LAP-BAND Patients

I have been banded for three years and after having my band for 12 months I fell pregnant with twins.I spoke to my surgeon who advised me not to have anything taken out of my band unless heartburn became an issue.I had no problems but made sure I made good choices when I ate.I also increase my milk intake.Needless to say I have 2 healthy, happy two year olds and as an added bonus lost 28 pounds during the pregnancy.I dont know how I would have done it without the band I was petrified that I would have gained 50 pounds without it.Goodluck hope everything goes well :)
