September 14th - Starting My Journey

congratulations on your decision it was a big one. This site really helped me through the first couple of months- I always found my questions already posted and everyones replies were helpful.

I truly believe this is a fantastic journey that you are about to embark on. This site has been a huge resource for me over the past 6 months I have been pondering LapBand. I will finally be done with my insurance hoops tomorrow then can submit for approval. I am a mom with 4 kids and just want to keep up with them..lol. You will have to keep us in the loop about your surgery. While I find great strength in my husband and family, it helps to have other people on your side that know what you are going through :-) Best of luck!!

Hi there, we are only two weeks apart in terms of our surgery!! I am scheduled for 10/1 and am also scared and nervous, but, mostly excited. I am not afraid of surgery, it's the fear of getting on the path and where it may lead.

I am also a mom, and have two kids- one stepson age 14 and a two year old daughter. I have a busy career and also find strength in my friends and family. I hope to get even more support in these forums- good luck, and I look forward to our journey together!
