Question for women that have been banded!

I was banded 6/08 and to date have lost almost 100 lbs! The weight loss has been very exciting! Slightly challenging but very exciting. I just have a quick question I was tightened about a month ago, and have had some sliming issues in the morning, so I figured it would be best not to eat solids until after about noon time. That was workign really well for me, however I am noticing that around the time Im due for the wonderful friend that us girls love, I seem to keep little to nothing down. I havnt changed eating habits, and I am comfortable with my band right now. I was just curious if it has happened to any other women? Maybe things are swollen so its restricts area more, maybe its psychological, who knows just thought I would ask Thanks!!

I get VERY tired, weak, and dizzy. I was banded 3-23-10. I have not had a fill yet but if i feel like this now i am scared of what i am going to feel like after a fill. Thanks for the post. I thought it was in my head.

Every month I have the same issue. I can keep things down, but I can eat very little. It's like the band tightens up around that time every month. I have asked the girls in my support group and none of them have this issue. I thought it was just me. Just know you are not alone with this one.

Banded 2/14/2006 and was gaining so I had a fill on 4/13/2010 and I am very tight in the mornings. I can only do liquids until about 11am and then it is iiiiffffyyyy.......Usually can not eat much solid food until about 2 or 3pm. I can relate to the monthly problem too. I noticed this a while back. Now I just wonder why this happens. I asked a few people but no one seems to have an answer. It only last like a couple of days before and then the first couple of days during and then I am good. So include me in too.

Definitely it is from a shift or increased retention of fluids everywhere in your body...including the stomach tissue inside the band...so, yes, it is tighter. This is also the reason your band is tighter in the morning...there are changes in where and how much fluid you have at different times of the day AND diffferent times of the month...hope this helps!
