I feel hungry all the time

I was bnanded on Oct 27. I have lost 10 lb the 1st week. The following weeks I have gained 8 lb back. I don't feel any restriction and hungry all the time. My 1st fill is on Jan 4th. I am very frustrated and especially when most of the posts indicate that there is 10-30 lb weight lost in the 1st 4-6 weeks.

I hope things change after your fill. From what I have been hearing, it will help. :cursing:

My Dr. told me not to expect to lose weight the first few weeks that it is a time for healing not losing.. Hope that helps..

I lost 40 pounds within the first few months of my surgery and then stopped losing. I am feeling frustrated like you. I have 2 friends who had gastric bypass and have lost 3x as much as me and in less time. I think you probably need to have a fill. I get them, but I don't seem to get the restriction I was hoping for. I eat less, but am not losing either. Good luck and I hope it gets better for you.

Installed May 4, 09 373 to 348 in 12 weeks (25 pounds from diabetes meds used to bring down blood sugar pre-op). 5th fill last Tuesday 10.5 in a 14cc band. Can still eat at 95 percent of my pre-op capacity. Not encouraged

I had my surg on 10/30 and for the first 2-2 1/2 weeks was losing a pound a day. THen the entire feeling of constriction was gone and I was hungry all the time. I called the surgeons office and spoke to a nurse who said that is normal and I needed a fill. I will go on Monday and hopefully that feeling of fullness will return. My friend who had this surgery done 3 years ago said that at the 3 month mark she really started losing fast again...I think that is because you have enough fluid in your band to keep you full by then....goos luck..
