The Hard Discussion

A few years ago I noticed of friend of mine was reading a book with a title along the lines of "How to Have the Hard Discussions in Your Life"

I don't have a clue as to the actual content of the book but the title stuck in my mind.

This past spring my wife and I were Vegas hiking at Red Rock. Well, she was hiking, I was strolling. The moment of truth came when she took off up a 200' vertical climb to a scenic overview. Twice.

Last Dec - 08; two very good friends had Lap Band surgery. They've lost 50 & 60 pounds each.

This spring I realized I needed to have a hard discussion with myself. That afternoon I made an appointment to see the same surgeon my friends went to.

They say a journey starts with the first step . . . I'm now 11 days from surgery.

Sometimes, the timing is just right and we have to do it. That's what happened with me. Best of luck to you.
