Banded July 9th, how about you? Doing just ok.

Recommended Posts

Banded on July 9th, I just wonder how every one else is doing. I have had one fill on the 31st July before I started my new job. A job where I simply could not miss a day or time off for the doctor. I am able to eat really anything I want without a problem although the size of those things I now put into my mouth are so much smaller then ever before. There are things I simply have not eaten just because I know how bad they are for me.

I am I think now at 15/16 weeks out but I have lost count at this point. I am going to get only my second fill at the end of Nov and I do hope this puts more restriction on my band as I feel very little of it now. I know it is there and doing what it is supposed to do because I do get full after about 4 or 5 bits of solid foods and Soups (which have become my best friend) usually takes one full cup of.

I have lost 30 lbs and feel pretty happy about this but I am so ready to move on and get over this 30lb hump.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

M

Congrats on your 30 pounds!

I had my surgery on July 14th, I have only had one fill and I TOO will be getting my 2nd fill at the end of November.

You seem very positive. I however am not.:D I have lost only 22 pounds and honestly eat whatever I want and a much larger quantity than what I think I should. :)

I was feeling really beat down. Thank you for your story!

Christina:cool:

I was banded on July 13, 2009. I am doing good I have only lost 34 lbs so far, i think it should be more but oh well.

Christina: I am not sure how much I can eat but I stop at 3/4 cup anyway and seem to do ok. Even if you could eat more stop at a certain amount and I think you will see the scale move faster. Don't get discouraged 22 lbs is gone forever.

Hi

I was banded on 7/23/09. I just had my 3rd fill today for a total of 4.5 cc in a 10cc band. I have lost 33.5 pounds since the start of my pre-op diet on 7/13/09.

Today's appt was 4 weeks since my last appt. I had lost 6.5 pounds in that 4 weeks and the PA seemed very pleased with my progress.

I was banded 07/09/09. I have had 2 fills and a 3rd one is scheduled for this Friday, 11/06, but I think I might reschedule that one because I still feel pretty tight from the last fill. (it may be a sweet spot for awhile, we'll see)

Overall I am pretty pleased with the band and my results. Last time I weighed I was down 44 pounds. It may be 45 by now. Long road ahead still......

I have to admit, I am not exercising much at all ....

Bad ! Very Bad! I was going on a few walks in the beginning, but had 16" of snow this past Thursday and it put me in winter mode.

I did buy an elliptical though ..... now I just need to get on the darn thing and use it!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
