I'm not mad...... i was just trying to figure out what I was doing wrong this past week and I guess I answered my own question.

I eat alot of veggies.... I don't really eat much of potatoes anymore.... if I do it is very little. Yesterday was just a potato day for me....

I think i'm just going to get the cold cuts and try that with cheese.... i'm burnt out on eggs but I guess I should try that also...maybe do oatmeal for breakfast.....

I stay so busy it's hard for me to get all that together each day and do it everyday.... but, I gotta make time.

I saw this link in a post yesterday that I think does a great job of not only giving advice on what to do after you first get the band, but also gives sample menus during each of the stages after the band.

Maybe it might help you. The info starts on pg 83.

http://www.permanente.net/homepage/kaiser/pdf/39806.pdf

P.S. I'm not banded yet, waiting for my consult next week, but I read these boards for encouragement and advice.

I wish you luck with your weight loss journey!

I'm not mad either! Many of us have told you what works for us and you just seem to have an excuse for not doing any of it.

I want to help people who really want help that's all.

that is a really good menu. Anyone have any others?

I noticed on that menu the foods to avoid... nuts is one (which someone told me nuts were good).....

I'm going to start cracking down on my food.

Thanks everyone

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
