Weight Coming Off Too Fast Since Fill?

Recommended Posts

So it's almost two weeks since I had my 3rd fill and I've lost 11 pounds already. Is that too much too quickly or did I just not have enough restriction before? I have started working out so that may be contributing to it. I just want to be sure I'm doing it the right way. Thanks....

To be honest I don't think it is. I got my first fill last week and I started to work out this week and have lost 5lbs already. Our bodys are changing and we are speeding up our metabloism. I have been drinking more Water and eating less since I started to work out. Just as long as you are getting your Protein in, I think you are good. Good Luck!

Well I sure wouldn't be complaining! It probably is the combination of more restriction and working out though. I recently (finally lol) started working out regularly and it was a helpful jump start ending the stall I'd been in.

I've had trouble with restriction (10 cc's in a 12 band) so really the only weight loss was the initial post-op. The restriction is much better now though and the working out really does make a difference!

It will slow down then you will wonder where it went, it is likely that your exercise is kicking it up a notch. Just make sure you are getting enough calories and protien and lots of Water.< /p>

Thanks guys! I'm trying to stick to around 800 cal. a day. I finally am able to use my WII Fit since my recent weight loss so I'm going to see how that goes tonight. : )

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
