Ok so... I have read slot of the posts but this is my first entry... A little bit Of my story: I stared my journey in febuary 2008, I followed up with my 6 month doctor supervised diet... I got approved for surgery on December 10 2008 ... Then had an insurance glich so I had to wait until feb 7 2009... Well mean while my surgoen moved out if town so I got transfers to another surgeon, hospital... Thus having to completely start over( new dietian, pt, and simina) only thing that I did not have to start over with is my 6 month diet... All was good went in to meet my new surgeon pay more money to him...( which is in limited suppy around here) then to find out that my family doctor screwed up my paperwork and had to start my diet all over again... This past April I got a new insurance threw work that does not require the 6 months(now that I am on month 5) . The wonderful news is that now I am scheduled to be banded the 5th of august... Yea next Wednesday I am so excited but getting nervous so any last minuet advise? This set week had trouble sleeping I am getting restless but nothing could make me back out I have spent about 1000 dollars and I am still preop ... I am so ready for this thanks for your help

Just wanted to tell you good luck...and follow the post op diet exactly as you're told. It's a "healing" diet, not a weight loss one, and if you cheat (like eat foods ahead of when you are cleared for them) you can really hurt yourself! Otherwise, it's about time! Good Luck! :tt2:

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
