10 glorious months!

Recommended Posts

Is it possible that it has only been 10 months? Today is my 10 month anniversary and what a great present I received.. 124 pounds lost!! I am so glad I did this. If I had known 10 months ago that I would have lost this much so quickly I would have not believed it. I am so proud of myself and I am really excited what the next year will bring. God has blessed me sooo greatly!!!

Allie, I'm right there with you. My 10 month bandiversary was this past Friday the 17th. I told the doctor when I saw him for my fill on Friday that I would have never in a million years, dreamt this would have been this succesful. It's truly a blessing. I often wonder why I didn't do this sooner!!! Congrats to us all...wonder how much we have all lost together. Wouldn't that be fun to find out  Have a great evening!

Good Afternoon, all! I am interested in finding a thread that people are posting who are much further out than us. We are almost at a year, but I want to read of long term results. I am probably looking right past it, but haven't seen anything. Anyone know where to find that on here?

Yay Allie!!!!!

You know in MK, we're taught that you tend to become like the 5 people you spend the most time with....is there any wonder I hang out here with all my sister Junies? You are truly leading by example!

Hugs!

Always ;-)

Hey there ait.. looks like you are doing pretty good to me! As for tips I believe strongly in following the band rules.. eat slowly, never eat more than a cup at a time, don't drink 1 hour before or 1 hour after a meal, don't eat Pasta, rice. Try and stay away from white carbs, move your body as much as possible.. etc.. I hope that helps.. Good luck on your journey!!!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
