What is your mental stop sign?

Recommended Posts

I'm struggling with head hunger. It is usually late at night or at work where the goodies are in my direct line of vision. I can't move my work area and it is the only place they can put the goodies. Usually I don't have a problem but in times of stress it gets tough. Besides leaving the area for awhile, what do you do to mentally get though a tough time? Do you have a mantra? Do you have a mental picture of how you want to look after the weight is gone? I'm interested in learning how people deal with this and hopefully pull from your strength.

I can totally relate! At my work, they Celebrate birthdays once a month with 3 huge cakes right next to my office. All I smell is sugar! The way I can get through it (most times) is I tell myself the cake is nothing but butt-fat. I look at everyone in line and think they are all lining up for a nice hunk of butt-fat. No thank you, I've had plenty! Sometimes I will go down to the company gym and weigh myself while everyone is eating their butt-fat. Whatever works, right?!

that is so tough...last month i was working the night shift, and the boss would order pizza and breadsticks for everyone!!! it was so hard...and a did even have some pizza a couple times.

for the most part i tried to keep occupied with other things. i also find it helpful to have sugar free gum--i personally like extra...it helps take the edge off of me wanting to eat.

however i still lost the battle a few times its an ongoing process for me. Im sure you can relate. maybe if you keep healthier Snacks in your own work area when you feel like giving in you can have a healthy snack instead of the junk. Like a sugar free pudding (only 60 calories).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
