New member of the PB Nation

Recommended Posts

Well, I had my first PB this morning. I've had the band for almost six months and never had one before. I was actually thinking that, when people talked about "PBing" they meant vomiting because I have done that occassionally.

Um, no. Totally different, it turns out. Thank goodness I had a winter scarf in the car that caught almost all of it or I would have had to turn around and change my clothes.

I guess my second fill (three weeks ago) has settled in!

Note to self: Keep a PB/vomit can in the car because that stuff is gross!

Note to self again: Don't eat hard Protein in the morning. oatmeal it is!

Anyway, I'm a member of the club now. And I need a new scarf! icon10.gif

LOL! Your post made me laugh! I too, am new to PB nation. I hadn't experienced it, or 'sliming' until the last 2 weeks after my 2nd fill.

I laughed at your idea of the can in the car. I like to know I have a spitoon handy too! I am hoping that I have learned from these PB experiences so that I can avoid them, but ah, we are now members!

Hope you have a good day!

Oh yes, that scarf has been tossed. I probably could have saved it, but Spring is on the way anyway.

I'm not glad I had my first PB but at least now I know what everyone is talking about!

And I did learn that chicken sausage (even 3/4 of a link) is not exactly a good Breakfast choice. I actually paused before heating it up, thinking, "Hmm, I hope this doesn't come back up on me." I chewed, chewed, chewed, but, alas alack, it still didn't agree.

I've had several PB's since my last fill, which I feel is my sweet spot now. I can almost predict when I will PB. If it's raining (barimetric pressure?), if I'm eating with a big group of people who are talking, laughing, or if I am stressed.

Before I had my 1st PB, I also thought it was like vomiting. Now I liken it to hacking up a hairball. Just kind of shoots out, then I feel better. Someone posted a while back about keeping a cup in her cupholder of her car. I try to do that now. I've only had 1 PB in the car and had to pull over in a parking lot. It was embarassing because I had one of my employees in the car with me (I had taken her to lunch). She knows about my surgery and wasn't freaked out about it or anything.:tongue_smilie:

Oh boy....

I feel your pain! My last fill has apparently really kicked in - things I used to eat aren't all agreeing with me!:tongue_smilie: A few days after the fill - I ate a boiled egg for Breakfast and I am soooo glad I have a private office, cause I didn't know what was happening - I started walking back and forth and finally ran to the garbage can - what a relief! Wow.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
