OMG Sliming

Recommended Posts

Hello All -

I had a fill the other day - my 3rd. Obviously this must tbe the one, because I was able to drink a good quantity of Water before, now I have to be careful. Today I had a few crackers at work and OH MY GOD - I was sliming so bad. I mean I was totally drooling like a dog.

I tried to keep spitting it out to avoid barfing, but I eventually did 3 times anyway - just the slime though no crackers. What the heck - if I am going to suffer like that you would think the food would come up.

The sliming was never this bad - has this eveer happened to everyone else?

It happened to me yesterday. First one too! I was eating the egg portion from a Breakfast scrambler from Krystal. I got stuck on the egg.

I had just come from the eye Dr where I had my eyes dialated so I am sitting in my car in the Walmart parking lot (going shopping after I can see again.. lol) wearing those ugly glasses they give you trying to eat since I hadn't eaten that day and "BAM" I am stuck.

I had to get out of the car and just stand there since there was no way I could just sit.

I felt like a rabid dog the way I was sliming. It was just tiny burps until the big one and out came the slime and the egg. :puke:Freaked and grossed hubby out that's for sure! It was one of those moments that you have to laugh about after it is over!

I am on my 2nd fill and have gone from 4cc to 6cc and I can sure tell it!!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
