Hi Beth,

I am having a tiny bit of swelling but not all that much. Sometimes I do get uncomfortable when trying to sleep on that side but I can sleep on that side. If you think the swelling is abnormal you might want to just give your doctors office a call and see what they have to say about it. Only trouble with that is they will probably want you to come in even if it's nothing.

Well it doesn't hurt as bad now... but like the week after surgery it was hurting BIG TIME every time I laughed!! Had to keep telling the hubby... stop making me laugh... and then that would make us laugh harder cause here I am "grabbing my port site" saying "owww owww my port!!" :wink2:

hahaha I still do that! It's the people at work that kill me. Every day they have me rolling on the floor.

In the last few days almost all the discomfort I had around the port has disappeared. I can sleep on my stomach and don't notice it anymore.

I was banded 12/17 and still have a large lump under my port. It doesn't feel too bad when I am standing, but when I am lying on my back it fills my palm. I have a 14 cc band and maybe the port is larger than the 10cc port that I saw in the DR's office.

Other than that, I feel great and the clothes are now getting loose!!

Having my first fill the 31st.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
