Hello All!!

I was banded on 12-12-08 in Mexico. I was a little nervous about it. It was cool once I got there. My biggest problem now is when do I eat solid foods again. You can get alot of information from online but one site will say 5 weeks others will say 2 weeks after. I'm so confused and still hurting.my incisions kinda hurt and ooze a little:unsure:. So far I have not been able to get down more than 10oz of Water per day! I was filled with 7.5cc. They only thing I can get down is cream of wheat, yogurt, and applesauce. I want this to be a success and don't want it to fail bcuz of my ignorance. Any information from Sistas will be much appreciated!

HI there I have not been banded yet but I was just wondering the DR. in Mexico didn't give you any post-op eating plans? And did you say you already had 7.5 cc filled? or do you mean the band has a max fill of 7.5 cc? In either case I have seen people post about fill centers you will need some kind of aftercare so you may want to look into that. Also there is a forum on here with people who were banded in Mexico they may be of help too! Best wishes!

I wonder if you may be too tight!! It sounds like you could be... or you are just swollen from the surgery. Stay focused on healing properly. DOn't over do it on anything. Sip your Water. Use baby spoons to eat with. take it easy.

I have a 14cc band and mine came unfilled until I got my first fill in Sept with 3cc and my next one in Oct with 2.5ccs.

Take a look at your post op instructions or see if the is a site on here that some other patients may have answers you are looking for. Your best bet is to call the surgeon... you have paid for it.

Curves.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
